Apave Korea, the Korean branch of global safety management specialist Apave, participated in the ‘H2 MEET 2024’ exhibition held from September 25 to 27 at KINTEX, Goyang. Apave Korea (CEO Seyong Choi), newly established in June last year following the merger of ABS Consulting’s Testing, Inspection, and Verification (TIV) division, showcased its safety assessment and risk evaluation expertise in the hydrogen sector.

ABS Consulting, established in 1971, has provided risk assessment, inspection, and certification services to industries such as refining, chemicals, power, and infrastructure for over 50 years. Apave Korea emerged as part of Apave Group’s strategic expansion, which has seen the company grow through mergers and acquisitions across various sectors, including nuclear power, oil and gas, renewable energy, aviation, rail transport, industrial testing, and digital services.

At H2 MEET 2024, Apave Korea highlighted its regulatory approval, inspection, and consulting services tailored to the hydrogen industry. The company offers comprehensive hydrogen production, storage, transport, and supply services, meeting global technical standards such as DOT, ASME, PED, and ECE through a one-stop solution.

Apave Korea’s expertise has been trusted to certify and inspect hydrogen refueling stations, containers, hydrogen tubes, and plants worldwide. They also offer consulting services on fire risk assessments, hydrogen equipment, lithium battery fire safety audits, and hydrogen-LPG dual-use facility CFD studies, maintaining strong partnerships within the industry.

An Apave Korea representative stated, “We have established credibility in the domestic market through our diverse consulting and advisory services related to inspection, certification, and risk assessment in the hydrogen sector. Leveraging our extensive global network across 63 countries, we continue to provide specialized services in various energy sectors, assisting clients with swift regulatory compliance.”

H2 MEET is a specialized hydrogen industry exhibition for Korean and international companies and institutions involved in hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. From this year, H2 MEET aims to become a professional event that will enhance participation from global hydrogen industry companies, generate tangible results, and contribute to understanding South Korea’s hydrogen economy ecosystem. Starting this year, it will be held in conjunction with H2WORLD and concurrently with the K-BATTERY SHOW 2024 and HARFKO (Heating Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition—Korea) 2024 at KINTEX 1.
