The MEND BioSimulator Co., Ltd. (CEO Jun-sang Lee) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA in January next year.

The MEND Biosimulator is a domestic company that has developed a solution that automatically predicts cardiovascular disease risk through high-precision 3D blood vessel models and artificial intelligence (AI)-based algorithms.

‘CARDIOS (Coronary Artery Risk Diagnostics On-site Software)’, which is considered their representative software, is a mobile application (app) that automatically obtains a 3D cardiovascular model from the patient’s X-ray images and CT images.

It has a system where AI performs high-dimensional calculations and derives diagnostic factors through video image data collected from the app. Through this process, it takes only a few minutes to find the location of major lesions in the cardiovascular system.

Accordingly, CARDIOS is considered a technology that can significantly reduce treatment costs and time borne by patients by realizing non-invasive diagnosis throughout the entire process from preliminary diagnosis to treatment. In addition, external leakage of medical clinical data can be prevented because blood vessel shape data, blood flow flow data, and patient biometric data are immediately utilized in medical settings.

Along with CARDIOS, which maximizes the convenience of professional medical practice, The MEND BioSimulator plans to introduce AI-based medical software and biosignal monitoring systems such as ▲MIASfacial ▲N-UDS ▲Blood Glucose Monitoring System ▲CBCT Denoising sCT System at CES 2024. am. The company explains that through this, it aims to secure its own influence in the global medical device market.

An official from The MEND BioSimulator said, “First of all, while focusing on securing certification and examination institution infrastructure to utilize our software and devices in Korea, our goal is to secure a global network to increase momentum in the future market expansion and global commercialization stage.” “We decided to participate in CES 2024 to increase the possibility of realizing the company’s vision of becoming a global company and to attract organic cooperation with local insurance companies and medical device distributors in North America and elsewhere,” he said, explaining the reason for participating in this exhibition.

He continued, “In particular, we plan to secure a cash-cow business by achieving sales of more than 30 billion won in 2027.” He added, “Initially, we will start as a screening institution, and between 2024 and 2027, we will provide annual subscription and indefinite services. “We will expand our profit model with licenses and additional CT services to begin targeting the health checkup market in response to the aging trend,” he added.

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.

The CES 2024 Seoul Unified Hall will be operated at the largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City’s first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards. The participating institutions in the Seoul Unification Center are ▲SBA ▲Seoul Bio Hub ▲Campus Town ▲AI Yangjae Hub ▲Gwanak-gu ▲Yonsei University ▲Korea University ▲Chung-Ang University ▲Sogang University ▲Kookmin University ▲Hanyang University ▲Konkuk University ▲Kyunghee University. Not only the Seoul Metropolitan Government, institutions, and companies, but also supporters through industry-academia cooperation are matched 1:1 with companies, and 85 supporters, the largest number, will participate.
