VISIONAI Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Min-sik) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA in January next year.

Since its establishment in 2019, VISIONAI is a company that has been developing various authentication solutions, including the development of AI (artificial intelligence) facial recognition technology and mobile access cards. To date, they have secured intellectual property rights (IP), including four patents, four trademarks, and three program copyrights, boasting unique technological capabilities and providing specialized services to over 1,000 customers in the field industry.

In particular, VISIONAI obtained facial recognition algorithm certification through the Internet Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT in 2020, and was selected as the best company in the early startup package project of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in the same year. Since then, it has continued to produce remarkable results as a startup, including being selected as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s industrial intelligence target in 2021.

Their representative technology and solution is ‘Pass Me Sensor’, a mobile-based pass service, and VISIONAI plans to actively promote the solution by introducing it at CES 2024.

The PassMe sensor is characterized by the fact that it can be used as is without replacing the RFID card reader applied to the existing door. Currently, RFID card-based services occupy more than 90% of the U.S. office access pass market. On the other hand, according to the American Security Industry Association, 57% of companies reportedly prefer switching to a mobile access pass that combines security and convenience.

However, the introduction of mobile access passes has been sluggish due to the cost and time required to replace facilities, but VISIONAI’s PassMe sensor does not require such requirements, enabling economical system conversion. Regarding this, a company official added, “Based on a 20-story building, system conversion and introduction is possible at 5% of the cost and 10% of the installation time compared to existing mobile access solutions.”

In addition, the PassMe sensor can be used in various fields such as residential facilities such as private and public houses, tourism, food waste disposal processors, and kiosks. The company explains that it boasts excellent versatility and is evaluated as having excellent market potential.

A VISIONAI official said, “By participating in CES 2024, our primary goal is to introduce the PassMe solution to the global market and find new partners to apply it.” He added, “At the same time, we will increase brand awareness and expand our network around the world to expand our business footprint.” “I look forward to expanding opportunities,” he said, explaining his reason for participating in this exhibition.

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.

The CES 2024 Seoul Unified Hall will be operated at the largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City’s first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards. The participating institutions in the Seoul Unification Center are ▲SBA ▲Seoul Bio Hub ▲Campus Town ▲AI Yangjae Hub ▲Gwanak-gu ▲Yonsei University ▲Korea University ▲Chung-Ang University ▲Sogang University ▲Kookmin University ▲Hanyang University ▲Konkuk University ▲Kyunghee University. Not only the Seoul Metropolitan Government, institutions, and companies, but also supporters through industry-academia cooperation are matched 1:1 with companies, and 85 supporters, the largest number, will participate.
