Creo Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Hyun-woo) announced that it will participate in CES 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from Tuesday, January 9 to January 12, 2020 (local time) next year.

Creo Korea, a comprehensive food tech solution company, carries out food tech business across the food industry, including food smart factories, robot-based kitchen automation, and data-based order processing. Based on hardware and software development and implementation capabilities, we are building capabilities in the food tech field by operating actual stores using our own solutions.

At this CES 2024, the smart automatic cooking robot ‘Eight Kitchen’ and the smart kitchen control solution ‘ETAA’ will be exhibited.

Officials explain that Eight Kitchen and ETAA are innovative robot-based kitchen automation solutions that perfectly reproduce chefs’ recipes. From order processing to cooking, the operational processes of commercial kitchens are automated to ensure optimal efficiency, consistent taste, and hygiene even with minimal manpower input.

The robotic kitchen system Eight Kitchen uses the patented ‘non-contact electromagnetic induction dual induction heating system’ and ‘specially coated automatic rotating wok’ to accurately implement the chef’s recipe to create dishes. With a simple button operation, you can select a recipe and start cooking, as well as loading and washing food automatically, increasing efficiency in the kitchen.

In particular, unlike existing products that simply automate rotation in a circular motion, Eight Kitchen’s biggest feature is that it automates all elements, including heat control, rotation, and time, and cooks without human touch from the beginning of the recipe to the end.

ETAA can be easily applied to all commercial kitchens with Eight Kitchen. Creo Korea emphasized that it did not stop at automating the food cooking process, but integrated all systems necessary for commercial kitchen operation, from sales data as well as receipt data interpretation to recipe and menu management, through the ETAA solution.

In addition, these two solutions have already gone through a verification period by being operated directly at Creo Korea’s two directly managed stores in Seoul for up to a year. Through this, they have been able to reduce labor costs by replacing up to 2 to 3 people and improve the convenience of kitchen staff. The explanation is that the practicality and efficiency have been confirmed directly.

Eight Kitchen and ETAA Solutions have completed initial supply contracts for about 50 units to more than 10 companies, including large restaurant companies and franchises. Creo Korea plans to enter East Asian markets such as Japan and Singapore, starting with the U.S. market in 2025.

Last July, Creo Korea announced that it would supply its solutions and robots to the United States under the ‘Creo America’ brand through an agreement with Inno Kitchen, a food tech company in Los Angeles, USA. Creo Korea, along with Inno Kitchen, plans to open at least three test restaurants using Creo solutions within the first half of 2025 and drive sales in earnest.

Creo Korea said, “In the future, we want to become a comprehensive kitchen automation solution company based on artificial intelligence and data. “We are ultimately aiming to develop a completely unmanned kitchen by further developing various automatic cooking and management solutions in the kitchen,” he said. “In addition, Creo Korea processes orders through collaboration with third-party solutions such as self-driving delivery robots, table orders, and kiosks.” “We will move forward with a vision to develop an ‘integrated food tech platform’ that establishes unmanned and automated processes throughout the entire process, from cooking to packaging to delivery,” he said.

Meanwhile, ‘CES’, the world’s largest IT exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an exhibition where you can see the flow of innovative technologies around the world at a glance and is held every January in Las Vegas, USA. AVING News, which has covered CES for 18 consecutive years, has reported CES news around the world every year since 2006, and has been selected through ‘BEST OF CES’ and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA’, which select the best innovative products, companies and technologies. has been in progress. In addition, CES on-site issues are vividly conveyed through ‘AVING LIVE’.

The CES 2024 Seoul Unified Hall will be operated at the largest scale in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and number of participating supporters since Seoul City’s first participation in CES in 2020. The Seoul Integration Center, in which 13 organizations collaborate and participate, is an important step in Seoul’s efforts to make Seoul a mecca for startups, and 17 of the companies participating in the Seoul Integration Center proved this by receiving innovation awards. The participating institutions in the Seoul Unification Center are ▲SBA ▲Seoul Bio Hub ▲Campus Town ▲AI Yangjae Hub ▲Gwanak-gu ▲Yonsei University ▲Korea University ▲Chung-Ang University ▲Sogang University ▲Kookmin University ▲Hanyang University ▲Konkuk University ▲Kyunghee University. Not only the Seoul Metropolitan Government, institutions, and companies, but also supporters through industry-academia cooperation are matched 1:1 with companies, and 85 supporters, the largest number, will participate.
