Naver’s voice recording AI ‘Clovanote’ begins its global expansion, starting with service in Japan. Naver announced on the 24th that it has released the Japanese version of CLOVA Note.
The service can be found on the PC website and iOS and Android app markets in Japan.
The basic functions are similar to the Korean version. If you record Japanese audio directly in the app or upload a file, it will be converted to text. It is equipped with bookmark functions, memo functions, and search functions.
Speaker distinction is also possible. Some functions, such as sharing functions, video conference linkage, and simultaneous multilingual recognition, will be updated in the future. Korean and English recognition is scheduled to be provided in the first half of the year.
Naver applied Hyper Clova technology to Clova Note Clova’s own Japanese voice recognition ‘NEST (Neural End-to-end Speech Transcriber)’ engine. This is to increase accuracy. We applied a self-supervised learning technique that allows even unlabeled data to be used for AI learning.
Naver will sequentially launch Clobanote in North American and Asian markets in the second half of this year. It is part of global business expansion. We plan to develop it into a service specialized for the work environment by strengthening linkage with work tools.
Naver Senior Leader Han Ik-sang said, “The biggest differentiator of ClovaNote is its unrivaled voice recognition performance based on Naver’s voice AI technology.” He added, “We will continue to expand our service area in the future and provide global users with daily convenience through AI voice records.” “We will work hard to achieve this,” he said.
