NCSOFT (CEO Kim Taek-jin) published the sustainability report ‘NCSOFT ESG PLAYBOOK 2021 (hereinafter referred to as ESG Playbook 2021)’ on the 27th.

NC released a total of 80 pages of report on its official website. The 2021 Sustainability Management Report, produced in a digital version, was designed with a playbook concept, taking advantage of the characteristics of a gaming company.

In line with the concept, NC’s efforts and commitments for sustainable management were expressed in the form of tactics on a map.

Through ESG Playbook 2021, NC defined proper enjoyment, digital responsibility, and social qualitative leap as core values of ESG management activities and introduced major activities.

‘Right Pleasure’ includes activities to prevent hate and discrimination in content such as nationality, gender, and race, and to embrace cultural diversity. ‘Shift Left’ communication content, which continues communication from the early stages of game development, was also introduced.

‘Digital Responsibility’ deals with efforts to establish an information security and personal information protection system at a global level so that users can enjoy content safely.

In addition, NC has established a system for developing ‘human-centered AI technology’ to avoid social bias and is conducting various research and development activities based on this.

‘Social Qualitative Leap’ was divided into three sectors: eco-friendly management, future generations, and local communities. NC established an environmental management organization and established environmental management policies and principles to establish an eco-friendly management system.

In addition, it contains various business activities such as the NC Cultural Foundation, which supports future generations to express their creativity and grow without prejudice.

NCSoft ESG Management Committee Chairman Yoon Song-i said, “We will put into practice efforts for core values such as proper enjoyment, digital responsibility, and a leap in social quality,” and added, “We will expand communication and actively reflect external feedback from early development to the overall service and operation.” “I will establish a new culture where we can do it,” he said.
