In order for Gyeonggi Province to inform the world of the value and corporate status of Pangyo Techno Valley, an ‘Online Meet Up’ was held with Hoang Long Vo, editor-in-chief of Vietnam’s telecommunications company ‘Vietnamplus’, through video conference on the 27th of last month. proceeded.
Safeware Co., Ltd. (CEO Bae Gyeong-ran) participated in the ‘2022 Pangyo Monthly Online Meet Up (hereinafter referred to as online meetup)’ held on the 27th of last month.
Safeware is a company that develops and manufactures wearable airbags for human body protection that can protect lives and promote safety just by wearing them to provide safety measures against fall accidents at construction sites. Not only does the airbag explode in the event of an accident to protect the body, but it also connects with a smartphone app via BLE to automatically send text messages and emergency calls containing the location of the accidental to registered contacts, helping to quickly transport the accidental.
In addition to industrial fall protection clothing, we are developing and commercializing safety systems in various fields, such as life jackets for sports/leisure bikes, horseback riding, and water sports, fall protection airbag belts, infant suffocation prevention airbag systems, and life-saving tubes for drone throwing.
At this online meetup, Safeware introduced a wearable airbag for riders targeting Vietnam, which has many bike users. Safeware explains that it was developed to reduce two-wheeler fatalities and contribute to the safety industry, as the number of injuries and deaths due to motorcycle accidents has been steadily increasing over the past 10 years.
When the wearable airbag vest for riders exceeds the operating distance of the safety strap that connects the rider and the bike due to a collision or slipping in an accident, the key ball is released and the inflator operates, inflating the airbag within 0.2 seconds. This actively protects the rider’s body, including the head, neck, back, spine, chest, and lumbar spine.
Safeware’s overseas sales team leader Eugenie, who participated in the online meetup, said, “There are a lot of existing riding gear and protective suits on the market, but the partially retractable hard protectors are uncomfortable to wear on a daily basis,” and added, “Our wearable airbags for riders are safe.” , convenience, and design are all balanced. “The introduction of a soft air protector increases comfort and operability when riding, and can even absorb the impact of slipping, chafing, and falling in the event of an accident.”
He continued, “This product is manufactured mechanically rather than electronically, so it can accurately respond to various accidents that may occur on public roads. “It can be used without anxiety about electronic sensor errors or battery shortages, and its advantage is that it is inexpensive,” he added.
Meanwhile, ‘Online Meetup’ is one of Pangyo Techno Valley’s promotional projects and is an event to exchange opinions online with startup clusters around the world on major issues of Pangyo Techno Valley companies. In particular, last July’s meeting was an opportunity to introduce companies in Pangyo and provided a venue to introduce new technologies of various startups.
The online meetup video can be found on the Pangyo Techno Valley YouTube channel.
