Nexon released the first episode of ‘Hello, world’, a coding education web entertainment content with popular Twitch streamer Woo Jung-ying, on its YouTube channel ‘Nexon’.
‘Hello World’ is a web entertainment program designed to help anyone understand coding in an easy and fun way amid growing public interest in coding. The story follows Woo Jung-ying, a beginner in coding, who builds the knowledge necessary for coding by completing quests at the Nexon headquarters, which has been turned into a dungeon due to a bug.
In Part 1, Woo Jung-ying, a warrior summoned to the Nexon Coding Dungeon, was depicted understanding block coding and purifying the dungeon through a quest. ‘Hello World’ will be produced in a total of 10 episodes, and will provide a variety of fun with Woo Jung-ying, who uses witty remarks and quick wits to solve problems, and Nexon employees, who appear as NPCs with a new concept in each episode.
In addition, viewers can naturally learn coding concepts by solving problems raised in Nexon’s coding learning program. As Nexon has been working in various ways to lower the entry barrier to coding education, we have prepared content so that people of all ages and genders can get started with interest.
A representative Nexon coding learning program that appears in ‘Hello World’ is the content creation and play platform ‘Maple Story World’. Viewers can learn coding by watching the cast perform missions in various scenarios created in the world.
In addition, Nexon provides coding experience by extracting problems from ‘Beaver Challenge’, an international computational thinking contest sponsored by Nexon, a coding learning platform being developed with Vibras Korea, and ‘NYPC (Nexon Youth Programming Challenge)’, a youth coding competition hosted by Nexon. Efforts have been made to lower the threshold.
Meanwhile, ‘Hello World’ will be uploaded to Nexon’s official YouTube channel ‘Nexon’ every Thursday at 6:15 pm, starting with the release of part 1 on the 29th.
