Unknown Worlds, an independent studio of Krafton Co., Ltd., released ‘Moonbreaker’ in early access on the global game distribution platform Steam.
Moonbreaker is a turn-based strategy tabletop tactical game developed by Unknown Worlds, the developer of the undersea exploration adventure game ‘Subnautica’ series, and was unveiled for the world’s first time at ‘Gamescom 2022’ last month. This is a game where you form a unit by combining more than 50 different types of units and powerful battleship support skills, and battle the opponent’s unit to win by making strategic decisions every turn.
By completely implementing the actual miniature game digitally, you can feel the sensibility of an analog board game, and the newtro-style artwork that evokes the sensibility of the 1980s and 1990s adds to the fun of viewing. In particular, Moonbreaker allows players to freely show off their preferences through an in-depth customization system. You can create your own units by painting miniatures with various painting tools, including brushes and sprays. In conjunction with this early access release, Moonbreaker’s first season track was released. The season track is content that provides rewards each time the user completes certain missions in the game in order. Additionally, in line with the early access launch, the first episode of the audio drama ‘Moonbreaker: Stories from a Distant World’ was released on Krafton’s official YouTube channel. Through the audio drama, you can immerse yourself more deeply into the expansive worldview and characters written by New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson. A total of three audio dramas will be released during the first season of Moonbreaker, and new audio dramas will be added each season.
To commemorate the release of Moonbreaker Early Access, if you create and register a Krafton ID by October 31st, you can obtain a dark concept paint preset for the game unit ‘Crankbait’.
