In celebration of World Animal Day on the 4th, Kakao Makers and Kakao Brain announced that a collaboration product between Kakao Brain’s AI artist ‘Kalo’ and contemporary artist Ko Sang-woo will be sold exclusively at Kakao Makers until the 12th. All proceeds from sales will be donated to WWF (World Wildlife Fund).
The AI artist ‘Kalo’ who participated in this project is an AI artist who was reborn as a persona by developing Kakao Brain’s ultra-large image creation AI models such as ‘minDALL-E’ and ‘RQ-Transformer’. By learning from a text-image dataset of 180 million pages, images can be created in a variety of paintings and styles based on the understood context. Last June, an exhibition was held with a digital work combining 1,000 tiger images created in collaboration with artist Sangwoo Ko.
The products presented through this project are sweatshirts and mugs. ‘Blue Tiger’ is a mosaic of 500 tiger paintings created by harmoniously combining the tiger paintings created by ‘Kahlo’ and the unique drawings of artist Ko Sang-woo, a pioneer in blue photography art. All proceeds from sales are donated to WWF (World Wildlife Fund), and Kakao Makers’ environmentally friendly production on demand (POD production) method, which produces products as ordered to ensure waste-free production, has been introduced.
Kim Il-du, CEO of Kakao Brain, said, “We are happy to participate in the protection of endangered animals with works of art created by AI artist Kalo,” and added, “We will continue to participate in meaningful projects that can give back to society through our AI technology.” “He expressed his aspirations.
Kakao Makers Director Jeong Young-joo said, “Following the planning, selling and donating of products commemorating Cat Day last August, we are continuing a project to respect and consider various members of society.” He added, “We are continuing our project to respect and consider various members of society.” “We are confirming interest, and we will continue to introduce Makers’ own products with diverse values as an impact commerce company,” he said.
