
Nexon Games Co., Ltd. announced that the official art book of ‘Blue Archive’ developed by its MX Studio (Japanese official book name ‘Blue Archive Official Artworks’, hereinafter ‘Official Art Book’) was published in the Japanese Amazon Book section and became the #1 overall bestseller for two days. It was announced that it is continuing to be a box office hit, taking the top spot.
Nexon Games published the official art book on October 5th through Ichijinsha, a publisher specializing in comics magazines, books, and animation-related books. It is currently being sold in online markets such as Amazon in Japan, as well as offline bookstores such as ‘Kinokuniya’ and ‘Shosen Book Tower’.
The art book has been ranked #1 on Amazon’s bestseller list since its publication date, and is ranked #2 as of the 7th. Since the date of publication, the first edition has been sold out at most online and offline stores, and it is currently only available for purchase and reservation.
It also ranked first in the Wish List (Most Wished For), which refers to books that consumers want to purchase, proving that ‘Blue Archive’ has established itself as a popular intellectual property (IP) in Japan.

This official art book contains colorful illustrations, key visuals, worldview and character-related setting materials from the year since the Japanese release of ‘Blue Archive’, as well as special interviews with art director Kim In, who oversaw the game art, and scenario director Yang Joo-young, who oversaw the story. Contains a wealth of reading material.
Kim Yong-ha, EPD (General PD) of Nexon Games MX Studio, said, “Thanks to the great support from users for ‘Blue Archive,’ we were able to release an art book containing the story of the first year since its launch.” “We will make every effort to provide game services through collaboration, while also actively working to develop content using IP.”
Meanwhile, ‘Blue Archive’ is a subculture collecting RPG that was released in Japan through distributor Yostar on February 4th last year. Thanks to its solid story, attractive characters, and organic collaboration with Yostar, it ranked 2nd in highest sales on the Japanese Apple App Store on July 21st and 3rd in highest sales on Google Play Store on July 26th.
