Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Innovation Center) and LG Display are recruiting participating companies for ‘2023 Dream Play with GCCEI’ until the 25th of next month.
‘2023 Dream Play with GCCEI’ is an open innovation project that collaborates with global display manufacturer LG Display and public accelerator Gyeonggi Innovation Center to discover display-related innovative technology companies and support win-win cooperation and shared growth. It provides collaboration with large corporations and market verification opportunities (PoC: Proof of Concept) necessary to create innovative products or services.
Recruitment areas include display material, component, and equipment technology, next-generation display technology, new technologies related to display development and production, and new display application products. Among the supporting companies, about four start-ups with MVPs in the relevant field will be selected.
Selected companies include ▲Opportunity for business cooperation with LG Display through PoC project performance ▲PoC subsidy worth 50 million won ▲Opportunity for follow-up cooperation such as joint research and development and investment based on PoC performance ▲Accelerating programs such as customized business advancement programs Support.
In addition, follow-up support is also prepared, such as direct and indirect investment review by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, TIPS linkage, and additional investment review through demo days such as startup 815 IR.
Companies wishing to participate in the ‘2023 Dream Play with GGCEI’ program can apply through the recruitment application website until 6pm on November 25th.
An official at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We expect startups with outstanding capabilities to create innovative results through win-win cooperation with LG Display through this program.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2022 Dream Play with GCCEI’ selected last year went through a competition rate of 13:1 and was divided into ▲Deep Insight (under-display 3D sensing technology) ▲Frameworks (CNC processing machine capable of ultra-precision processing of displays) ▲Mopic (glasses-free 3D display) ) ▲Mirroroid (specialized manufacturer of smart mirrors) was selected.
They are receiving technical support from LG Display’s research and development department through Dream Play with GGCEI, and are growing rapidly by performing PoC tasks and producing practical results.
