ServeQ, a food ingredients distribution brand of Samyang Corporation, a food/chemical affiliate of Samyang Group, announced that it had released eight new Christmas cake recipes developed by its pastry chef on its website and distributed promotional posters for free.
The new recipes and promotional posters jointly provided by ServeQ and the Korean Bakery Association have continued for 10 years since ServeQ was launched in 2013 to support small bakeries that have difficulty developing new menus compared to franchise bakeries.
The characteristic of these eight new recipes is that they allow you to experience the warm and friendly atmosphere unique to a local bakery. In particular, we introduced the ‘Panatone Christmas Cake’, which can be easily made with frozen raw dough, berries, and nuts, taking inspiration from Panatone, Italy’s representative Christmas bread that takes a long time to cook.
In addition, the ‘Snowman Purple Sweet Potato Cake’, which has a subtle purple color, uses sweet potato cream mixed with cooked sweet potatoes and custard cream to add color to the cake. Marshmallow was used as a decoration material to create a cute snowman.
In addition, Serve Q offers ▲’Spoonable Mango Cream Cake’ and ‘Spoonable Strawberry Cake’, which make it easy to eat fruit and cake ▲’Strawberry & Marshmallow Garden Cake’ and ‘Spoonable Strawberry Cake’, which feature logs, Santa Claus, and Christmas tree decorations. ‘Log Roll Cake’ ▲A variety of new recipes were introduced, including ‘Chocolate Ganache Cake’, which features a sweet taste using dark chocolate.
These recipes can be found on the ServeQ website and in the December issue of Monthly Bakery published by the Korean Confectionery Association.
ServeQ plans to distribute promotional posters to approximately 6,000 bakeries across the country along with the release of recipes to reduce the labor of self-employed bakeries and to help small bakeries that find it burdensome to produce their own promotional materials enhance their promotional activities and competitiveness.
Jeong Jong-gyu, ServeQ pastry chef who participated in the development of this new menu, said, “Ahead of the upcoming Christmas season, we developed and released a healthy and delicious cake recipe for local bakeries. “I hope it will be of some small help in the management activities of small business owners,” he said. “In the future, we plan to operate various programs that can promote coexistence with local bakeries, such as product development, promotion, and technology seminars.”
Meanwhile, in addition to cakes, ServeQ continues to develop confectionery and baking recipes that reflect the latest trends by its professional chefs, and provides them free of charge to restaurant workers and prospective entrepreneurs. This year, due to COVID-19, the baking technology seminar, which had been held only online, was held both online and offline, touring six regions including Incheon, Gyeonggi, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Jeju, and offering a variety of menus such as white bread, cooked bread, and desserts. demonstrated.
