Eva, a company specializing in electric vehicle charging solutions, won three awards in two categories at the CES 2023 Innovation Awards with ▲self-driving charging robot ‘Parky’ and ▲vehicle-mounted electric vehicle charger ‘VMC (Van Mounted Charger)’. With this award, Eva won five innovation awards in just two years, following two innovation awards for a single product at CES 2022.

Eva is a company that has developed various types of electric vehicle charging solutions, including self-driving and electric cart types. In particular, the mass production and market distribution of the electric vehicle slow charger ‘Smart EV Charger’ is attracting attention. It started as Samsung Electronics’ in-house venture C-Lab in 2018 and has since spun off, attracting investments from Samsung Venture Investment, Naver D2SF, and Hyundai Motor Company.

‘Paki’, recently developed by Eva, is a self-driving robot for charging electric vehicles, and received the CES Innovation Award in two fields: smart city and robotics. Parky is a method of breaking away from location restrictions and charging electric vehicles by autonomously driving a charging robot equipped with a battery when a user calls from anywhere in the parking lot. This is a product that Eva has been researching since the beginning of its business with the goal of creating an ‘electric vehicle life without worrying about charging,’ and is planning to commercialize it in 2023.

Eva’s ‘VMC’, a vehicle-mounted mobile electric vehicle charging solution, received an innovation award in the smart city field. When a user calls, a vehicle equipped with a battery is dispatched and provides fast charging service. VMC is a solution that not only charges electric vehicles but also cares for driver safety, and is attracting attention in the insurance industry and remote medical industry. In December, we plan to provide a local ‘on-site charging service’ in cooperation with a Canadian AI solution company.

EVA CEO Lee Hoon said, “Not only was we recognized for our innovation by winning the CES award for two consecutive years, but we were also happy to actually commercialize the product and ship more than 10,000 units.” “We will be reborn as a global electric vehicle charging infrastructure company with a diverse lineup including mobile chargers,” he said.

Meanwhile, Eva’s CES Innovation Award winning products will be displayed at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the United States from January 5 to 8, 2023.
