
AhnLab signed a ‘Strategic Partnership Agreement (MOU) for cooperation in the automotive cybersecurity field’ with Pescaro, a company specializing in automotive security and software, at AhnLab’s headquarters in Pangyo.
AhnLab and Pescaro carried out this MOU to jointly respond to automotive security threats, which are increasing in importance due to the increased introduction of software in vehicles and the expansion of internal and external communication.
With this MOU, the two companies will develop ▲automotive internal communication and electronic control device security business ▲autonomous driving and autonomous cooperative driving security business ▲other IoT (Internet of Things) and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) outside of the automotive field ) cooperate in security projects, etc.
Going forward, the two companies plan to conduct research and discover business opportunities in the field of mobility convergence security by combining the capabilities and resources of each company, including AhnLab’s integrated security expertise in the IT and OT fields and Pescaro’s automotive security and software development capabilities.
To this end, AhnLab provides security expertise and threat response know-how to Pescaro, including endpoint and network security threat response technology, security consulting, and security control services. Pescaro plans to share with AhnLab its automotive security and software expertise that protects various electronic control devices and systems that communicate with the inside and outside of the vehicle.
Seokmin Hong, CEO of Pescaro, said, “Digital transformation is accelerating in the automotive industry, and ‘connectivity’ and ‘security’ are being emphasized.” He added, “In the era of mobility that has already begun, such as connected cars and autonomous driving, we are collaborating with AhnLab, Korea’s leading integrated security company. “We will strive to provide a safer driving environment.”
