-Established as a platform where you can first see trends that will lead the times through the coexistence of makers who are trying new things and supporters who support them
Wadiz (CEO: Shin Hye-seong) announced on the 19th that it announced the ‘2021 Funding Trend Report’, which selected trend keywords that will penetrate 2021.
This report contains insights that can predict funding trends in 2021 based on behavioral data of makers who made new beginnings at Wadiz in 2020 and supporters who participated in funding in support and encouragement.
Last year, over 6,000 teams of makers presented more than 10,000 new projects at Wadiz. The number of supporters who participated in funding reached 1.86 million. In this report, Wadiz defined supporters participating in funding as ‘people who spread positive influence (Spread Good Vibes).’
The trend keywords are divided into a total of 7: ▲Funding in harmony with nature (Close to Nature) ▲Funding made together (Better Together) ▲Funding faithful to the essence of the product (Focus on Quality) ▲Funding that makes life healthy (Healthy Living) ▲Happy Funding that helps people stay at home (Stay Happy), ▲Funding that helps them find their true self (Real Me), and ▲Funding that gets smarter (Get Smarter) were selected.
At Wadiz, new products and services that have never been seen before were created through communication and cooperation between makers and supporters in all fields encompassing the entire lifestyle, from fashion and miscellaneous goods to food, home living, beauty, and tech and home appliances.
First, in 2021, rapid progress in ‘eco-friendly’ related funding is expected based on the movement to protect the health and nature of the Earth. Last year, ‘Dickens’ introduced an all-stainless airtight container as an alternative to plastic containers, and ‘Hanmi Flexible’ introduced a microbial food waste disposer, receiving great support from supporters.
In addition, interest in and demand for ‘health’ was revealed through funding projects. ‘Idon Care Design Studio’ introduced a multi-use fashion functional mask with replaceable filters, and ‘Gideon Sonic’ presented a multi-purpose ultrasonic cleaner that added sterilization function to dishwashing and was chosen by supporters.
In particular, as people stay at home longer, projects featuring products or services related to ‘indoor entertainment’ or ‘self-development’ have also become popular. Various online classes, including projects featuring musical instruments such as guitars and drums, as well as ‘Bear You Photoshop’, ‘Investment King Dante Kim’, and ‘Amazon Selling’, have successively received funding. This trend is expected to further strengthen in 2021.
A Wadiz official said, “Wadiz is establishing itself as a platform where makers who take on challenges and supporters who participate in funding coexist and are the first to experience new trends,” adding, “We support new beginnings created through funding and take on various challenges.” “We plan to work hard to ensure that this continues,” he said. Meanwhile, this report can be viewed through Wadiz’s official website , and a sharing event with the ‘2021 Funding Trend Exhibition’ is also being held.
