‘BOREA (CEO Mi-ran Lim),’ a certified company with excellent air purifying manufacturing technology technology evaluation, announced on the 28th that it recently won the President’s Award from the Korea Women Inventors Association at ‘2020 Lifestyle Inventions Korea’.
Lifestyle Inventions Korea is an awards ceremony hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and organized by the Korea Women Inventors Association. This award ceremony received the largest number of lifestyle invention ideas ever. Borea was finally selected after overcoming a competition rate of 45 to 1.
Borea’s award-winning product, ‘Air Sterilizing Purifier’, was designed to reduce bacteria and viruses in the air. It is an air sterilizer that sucks in indoor air and filters out fine dust, first sterilizing bacteria and viruses collected in the filter, and secondary sterilizing with UV. It is an air sterilizer that discharges only sterilized air.
Borea CEO Lim Mi-ran said, “In the aftermath of COVID-19, indoor air management has become more important than anything else. Borea’s purifier is safe for use in situations where you have no choice but to take off your mask, such as when eating, and in multi-use facilities such as nursing hospitals and schools. “We will protect people’s health and daily lives by providing breathable air,” he said.
Meanwhile, Borea received support for commercialization funds and mentoring from the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, the organization responsible for the preliminary startup package of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2020.
