■ Introducing ‘Heimdall Unmanned 365’, which applies the latest technologies such as AI and IoT… Providing differentiated services
■ Companies in Pangyo Startup Zone implement existing stores into intelligent ‘smart spaces’
Odin Robotics Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyeong-jun Jang), a company specializing in unmanned solutions, announced on the 20th that it will open an ‘unmanned butcher shop’ in mid-May in collaboration with premium meat brand ‘Meat King’ (CEO Myeong-gil Oh).
Odin Robotics is a company located in the Pangyo Startup Zone, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Startup Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center. Last November, we launched ‘Heimdall Unmanned 365’, an AI automation-based unmanned space access control, security and operation management service. This is a service that turns existing stores into smart spaces, an intelligent space.
Odin Robotics is introducing Heimdall Unmanned 365, which combines the latest technological elements such as AI and IoT, into unmanned butcher shops. In particular, the self-developed technology that automatically detects abnormal temperatures by checking the temperature of the refrigerator with vision is being applied for the first time. The technology prototype is planned to be released in the future.
Odin Robotics opened this unmanned butcher shop through close collaboration for about two months with Meat King, which was planning an unmanned store. By applying a solution suitable for unmanned butcher shops, we plan to provide differentiated services from existing unmanned butcher shops, which were mostly in the form of refrigerator-type vending machines.
Heimdall Unmanned 365 sounds an automatic alarm when the door or refrigerator door is left open for a long time or when an abnormal temperature of the refrigerator is detected. In order to reduce deterioration and damage caused by refrigerated food being left at room temperature, products that have been left on a table for a certain period of time can also be checked.
In addition, it is possible to manage the store in real time through the application by managing the entry and exit of customers, as well as detecting homelessness and abnormal behavior within the store that can occur in unmanned stores.
This first Meat King unmanned butcher shop will be linked with an online store to expose reviews, ratings, recipe videos, etc. to store visitors and help customers select products.
Meat King plans to expand its business through franchises in the future and plans to supply all products in small packages from the Meat King headquarters processing plant so that it can operate unmanned stores without special butcher skills or handling knives.
By using Odin Robotics’ cutting-edge AI automated unmanned store technology, Meat King expects to create a new wave in the unmanned butcher industry.
