The bio and healthcare meetup was planned to improve the business feasibility of global startups and support the establishment of domestic commercialization directions, and six promising global startups in the bio and healthcare fields as well as experts and officials from related fields participated.
Experts in each field from Gachon University and Gil Medical Center, who have specialized expertise in bio and healthcare by combining software power and medical capabilities, as well as pharmaceutical startups and accelerator experts, participated. Participating startups were provided with opportunities to discuss possibilities for collaboration and customized support appropriate to each startup’s needs and growth stage by connecting them with experts in each field through 1:1 meetings.
Gachon University Vice President for Research and Industry-Academia Hwang Bo-Taek-geun said, “Bio and healthcare startups have the characteristic of requiring appropriate connection between experts in each stage and detailed field, such as licensing, clinical/non-clinical, and usability evaluation.” He added, “We have an overall system in the medical field. “We hope that this will be the first step in supporting professional startup growth through close cooperation between Gachon University’s Artificial Intelligence Healthcare Research Center (GRRC) and the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, a startup training agency,” he said.
