    Bestella Lab Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Sang-soo), which developed and operates Korea’s first ‘watchmile’ service that provides real-time information on empty parking spaces in indoor parking spaces, was selected as a 2021 ‘Smart City SOC-ICT Outstanding Company’ in the smart city transportation sector.     This award was held as part of the ‘2021 World Smart City Expo’ event co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Science and ICT. This event was established to expand the base of society as a whole through best practices by selecting and awarding companies or organizations that are leading the way in promoting SOC-ICT, which is the basis of smart cities. The awards ceremony was held on September 10th at the Grand Ballroom of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan.

    Bestella Lab is a technology startup with self-driving V2I technology, which provides indoor precision digital map production technology, AI image analysis processing technology, virtual GPS allocation technology, AIoT-based positioning technology, optimal/shortest path algorithm, and algorithm customized for socially disadvantaged people. I have it.

    Based on this, ‘Watch Mile’, a navigation service in parking lots for drivers, is being provided at Cheonho Station public parking lot, KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2, Euljiro Signature Tower, and Pyeongchon Irvine First.

    This service is the world’s first GPS shaded area indoor parking lot guidance service. Based on video and AIoT information, it identifies real-time parking status and the location of empty parking spaces and guides the optimal parking route tailored to the user’s preferences, reducing the driver’s parking time by more than 70%. In addition, it saves time and fuel consumed during the parking process and dramatically reduces exhaust gas emissions.

    Meanwhile, Bestella Lab is currently working with leading domestic and foreign institutions, including Seoul National University and IIIT (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), with the goal of becoming a company that leads the world standard for autonomous driving V2I communication technology by 2023 and commercializing autonomous driving V2I solutions. Together, we are developing a V2I platform for unmanned autonomous parking.
