[Pangyo Game & Contents] Krafton, Battleground ‘Map Rotation’ applied, 14.1 update in progress

‘Map rotation’ applied in regular and competitive matches | Provided by – Krafton

Krafton (CEO Kim Chang-han) has updated the 14.1 live server for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (hereinafter referred to as Battlegrounds).

Following the Taeigo and Erangel map updates and the addition of the ‘upgi’ function, which were first carried out on the test server, map rotation is applied in this live server update. Map rotation is applied to normal and competitive play, and the existing Vikendi and Karakin maps in normal play and Sanhok and Vikendi maps in competitive play are Taeyo and replaced by Paramo maps, respectively.

Accordingly, a separate rule set is set in competitive matches. In Taego, ▲up to 64 people can participate and ▲there is no red zone. ▲Fixed vehicle spawn locations have been added, and only Pony Coupes will spawn in the garage. ▲Flare guns can be spawned and used, but only supply boxes can be called, and BRDM-2 cannot be called.

In Paramo, ▲up to 32 people can participate, ▲there is no red zone, and ▲the blue zone lasts up to 7 phases. ▲The overall amount of item spawns has also increased. ▲Buggy and Ronnie vehicles will spawn additionally, and Ronnie vehicles will spawn at fixed spawn locations. ▲Only clear weather is provided.

Competitive season 13 rewards are also given. All rewards will be automatically paid to your inventory when you log into the game after the start of Season 14, and emblems will be given based on the final season rank. Players of Gold Tier or higher can also receive the ‘Competitive Parachute Skin’, a permanent collectible item. Other rewards can only be ‘unlocked’ and used during the next competitive season, and will be recovered when the season ends and server maintenance begins.

The effective kill and ranking system for return matches will also be adjusted in competitive matches only. Player kills that occur during the return match are counted as valid kills, and team rankings are determined based on the last survivor participating in the return match. In addition, you can watch players participating in the return match.

In addition, a new growth-type weapon skin ‘Trick-or-treat M416’ will be released through the WSUS (Weapon Skin Growth System) update. Through this, you can check the growth features of each of the 10 levels, and you can upgrade the growth-type weapon skin you own by consuming the materials you have. Additionally, contraband crates, hideouts, and scrap shops will be on sale from 11:00 AM on October 6th to 11:00 AM on January 31, 2022.
