The ’23rd International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition’ will be held at BEXCO in Busan for four days from Tuesday, October 24th to Friday, October 27th.
The 2023 International Shipbuilding and Offshore Industry Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as KORMARINE) is co-hosted by Busan City, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Plant Association, Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Lead K Faires Co., Ltd. and BEXCO. enhances Busan’s status as a center city of the global shipbuilding and marine industry, and showcases cutting-edge equipment and new technologies in domestic and overseas shipbuilding, offshore plants, and marine energy.
The KORMARINE exhibition, which was first held at COEX in Seoul in 1980 and has been held every odd year since 1985, includes Germany’s SMM (Hamburg Shipbuilding Exhibition), NOR-SHIPPING (Norway Shipbuilding Equipment Exhibition), POSIDONIA (Greece Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Exhibition), and MARINTEC. Together with CHINA (Shanghai Shipbuilding Equipment Exhibition), it has grown into the world’s largest shipbuilding and marine equipment exhibition, and this year marks its 23rd anniversary.
In addition, this year, the use of the entire first exhibition hall and the first floor of the second exhibition hall is attracting the attention of the global shipbuilding industry with the participation of companies in related industries that have surpassed the pre-coronavirus scale recovery.
At this event, 12 country pavilions, including Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, and Germany, are located with representative companies from each country, including Korea’s leading shipbuilders such as HD Hyundai Group, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Hanwha Ocean, which are referred to as the three shipbuilding companies, as well as ABB and Bar. Over 900 participating companies, including multinational global companies such as Zilla, Emerson, Bosch, GE, MTU, and WIN G&D, and domestic companies representing each industry such as Korea Gas Corporation, KCC, S&SYS, and Korea Register of Shipping, will participate in 2,000 booths. .
In addition, the KORMARINE INNOVATION PAVILION, located in the 2nd exhibition hall, is separate from the exclusive booths for each shipyard in the 1st exhibition hall and consists of a meaningful planning pavilion where you can check out the innovative technologies of the three shipbuilding companies representing the shipbuilding and marine industry, and HD Hyundai is a LNG material company. Hanwha Ocean plans to showcase liquefaction technology and hydrogen carrier linkage technology, Hanwha Ocean plans to showcase its smart ship solution & service HS4, and Samsung Heavy Industries plans to showcase its smart ship solution SVESSEL.
Komarine Conference will be held this year from October 24th to 26th for 3 days under the theme of ‘Maritime Sustainability: Innovating for a Greener Future’, divided into 5 sessions, and will be held by the shipbuilding and marine industry and equipment companies to create a sustainable future. It is expected that it will be of great help to industry, academia, and research institutes by covering various topics and sharing opinions to prepare and draw. In addition, technical seminars for domestic companies will be held simultaneously and separate sessions will be prepared for corporate investment and technology presentations.
In addition, the Korean Society of Marine Engineering’s fall academic conference, the Korea Society of Marine Engineering, and receptions for each country’s embassies and national pavilion organizations will be held simultaneously at the BEXCO exhibition hall and Haeundae area.
