Emerson Korea (CEO Chung Chen-hwai) announced that it successfully completed its participation in the International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition (KORMARINE 2023) held at BEXCO, Busan from October 24th to 27th.
At this International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition, Emerson Korea presented digital technologies for a sustainable maritime future and innovative technologies to realize decarbonization under the theme of ‘Smart Ships and Energy Transition’. In addition, various programs were held, including a digital experience space demonstrating actual product solutions, special seminars, and customized consulting.
The products exhibited by Emerson are attracting attention in the future shipbuilding and marine industry, such as integrated cloud and on-premises-based monitoring systems that support ICT and IoT for assets on ships, automatic ship control systems (IAS), and tank level gauging systems (TLG). Customized automation technology was introduced. In addition, level, temperature and pressure measurement solutions, on-off valves, etc. to prevent overcharging to realize eco-friendly ships through energy savings were exhibited.
In the intelligent metering experience space, there is also a digital solution experience space that will reduce design errors in metering and shorten commissioning time by virtually experiencing the plant at the design stage before constructing the actual plant through VR devices and confirming the design. Through this, users can predict maintenance scenarios in an optimized environment before actual construction to reduce costs and maximize field efficiency.
In addition, Emerson’s vision will be promoted through special seminars such as ▲solutions for developing the hydrogen economy and building a safe hydrogen society ▲digital technology to improve efficiency and strengthen competitiveness in the shipbuilding and marine industries ▲CCUS: Game Changer for Net Zero I had it. Next, we provided solutions to enhance productivity and safety through solution consulting for domestic and overseas shipbuilding and marine companies.
“Emerson continues to provide integrated automation solutions that support the entire life cycle of marine plants and ships and is striving for the development of the shipbuilding and marine sector,” said Chung Chen-huai, CEO of Emerson Korea. “Through this expo, we will showcase Emerson’s technological capabilities.” “I’m happy to be able to showcase it,” he said. He also said, “For a sustainable shipbuilding and marine industry, we plan to further expand the scope of solution utilization and continue to develop technologies and products that can respond to various environments.”
Meanwhile, the International Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry Exhibition, which celebrated its 23rd anniversary this year, is a representative business platform that looks at the future of the shipbuilding and maritime industry, including ships, energy, safety, and logistics. About 900 domestic and foreign shipbuilding and marine companies participated in this exhibition and operated about 1,900 booths.
