Luna Labs Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Won-chang) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26′ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 28th to Friday, July 3th. )’.
Luna Labs is a domestic company that has developed 3D filming and imaging, and robot control solutions based on digital twin technology. Luna Labs explains that it aims to realize its vision of ‘one family, one robot’ by providing a simple and safe control environment based on future technologies that will encompass and lead various industries.
The cooking robot ‘Botti’, which will be the basis for realizing this vision, was previously introduced at CES 1 held in Las Vegas, USA in January, and will be exhibited again at this exhibition to promote the company’s technology and vision.
The characteristic and advantage of Bottti that Lunalabs emphasizes is ‘flexibility’. Unlike other cooking robots on the market, users can easily change the recipe to be performed by the robot without any additional work by engineers, technicians, or experts. The official added that this is a function implemented based on the company’s advanced 3D camera and digital twin environment.
A Luna Labs official said, “The 3D camera mounted on the botti and the digital twin data built into the software function like a human’s ‘eye.’ Unlike cooking robots that only perform repetitive functions, Botti can pursue new movements and roles by utilizing data acquired in real time. It has functions and flexibility that are close to humans.”
Luna Labs plans to further improve the work environment in the restaurant industry with these differentiated cooking robots and resolve the long-term hiring shortage in the industry. An official said, “The number of industrial accidents reported in the restaurant industry is competing for first or second place every year, and it is not easy to find a job due to the high labor intensity and irregularity.” It will be an alternative to implement a uniform recipe and food quality at a cost,” he added.
