Vandal Soft Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Bong-hak) will be attending the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26′ held at COEX Hall A for three days from July 28 (Wed) to 3 (Fri). )’.
Vandal Soft is a company that creates innovation in the future agriculture and insect industry by resolving the entry barriers to the insect industry and the difficulties of related farmers through insect smart farm solutions. In the insect industry, general farmers have to spend a lot of money at the beginning of their entry, and it is also a field that is not easy to succeed without years of insect breeding know-how. In response, Bandalsoft is developing and selling facilities that automatically breed high value-added insects of various breeds in various environments by grafting the know-how accumulated while breeding insects directly to smart farms. Furthermore, it operates an all-round value chain from post-processing and distribution of reared insects.
At this exhibition, various product groups in the field of smart farms for breeding insects will be organized so that you can directly check them, and operation models of products under development will also be displayed.
First of all, the ‘Smart Insect Breeding Platform’ is a vertical breeding device specialized for breeding not only twin crickets but also various insects. The internal environment can be monitored and controlled remotely through smart farm devices and dedicated applications installed inside.
‘Bandal Hub’, which is also introduced, is an application that remotely controls devices necessary for controlling the internal environment of the breeding farm, such as air conditioners, heaters, and ventilators installed in the breeding farm. Based on the farm environment such as temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide set by the user, the devices inside the breeding farm are operated, and the environmental change of the breeding farm can be checked for each period.

The ‘Automatic Dongae Breeding System’, a system that can unmannedly breed Dongae, an eco-friendly insect that can treat food waste and use larvae as feed, will also be exhibited.
An official from Bandal Soft said, “We are developing various products and systems to solve the discomfort felt while breeding insects. In addition, we are developing products through continuous communication with insect breeding farms,” he said. Great efforts were made to keep costs down. In addition, Dongae’s breeding system utilizes cheap and lightweight materials such as existing plastic pallets and plastic boxes so that farms can use them easily and introduce them at low cost.”
“85 units of our equipment have been installed in various farmhouses at home and abroad, and we are producing and distributing insects on our own. This year, we plan to increase production by establishing a local cricket farm through the establishment of a joint venture in Vietnam,” he said. Compared to the existing insect system, we are trying to reduce the price of the device and reduce the labor cost incurred while breeding insects, but increase the production volume to secure price competitiveness in insect production.”
