Wheat Project Co., Ltd. (CEO Sohee Yoon) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 28th to Friday, July 3th. )’.
Wheat Project is a company that develops food products based on agricultural products and plans food culture content under the vision of realizing a healthy and sustainable life through food. In particular, we are focusing on changing consumers’ tables by processing vegetables so that anyone can eat them conveniently and by taking into account the social and environmental value of agricultural products and regenerating them into high value-added products.
This exhibition presents ‘Wheat Project Vegetable Nuggets’. It is a product that takes advantage of the convenience and ease of storage of frozen food and adds health by increasing the vegetable content, making it a convenient food that allows you to enjoy vegetables ‘conveniently and healthily’. By combining domestic agricultural products and natural cheese, we have developed gratin-flavored nuggets that can be eaten in one bite, targeting everyone from children to adults who prefer healthy food.
An official from the Wheat Project said, “We developed it over 6 months with parents and their children who had needs to improve their children’s eating habits, including picky eating.” He added, “Using eco-friendly raw materials, being able to feed four types of vegetables to children without the hassle of preparing them, and finally. It received a positive response because it was developed by an expert in improving children’s eating habits. “This is leading to purchases at our malls and e-commerce shopping malls,” he said.
In fact, Mill Project is known to have increased sales by 2021% in 2022 compared to 2,000, the first year of its establishment. Instead of settling for this, Wheat Project plans to launch a vegan cream soup made based on vegetable cream that can replace dairy products, which is scheduled to be patented in the future. An official said, “The cream soup, which can be used as a meal replacement, is a vegan product that reflects the food market trend,” and expressed the ambition, “We plan to continue R&D on animal-based alternative foods in the future and sequentially expand our base to overseas markets.”
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
