IOCROPS (CEO Jinhyeong Cho) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for 28 days from Wednesday, July 3th to Friday, July 2023th. )’.

IoCrops is a company that has been developing practical agricultural technologies based on next-generation technologies such as automated data collection and analysis, artificial intelligence (AI)-based cultivation and management, and agricultural robots. The company explains that it is operating a 1-pyeong smart farm that applies various solutions in a complex manner, and aims to realize a completely unmanned automated greenhouse through continuous technological advancement.

At this exhibition, IOCROPS will present the ‘Scout Robot’ from its agricultural robot specialty brand ‘HERMAI’. These products, which operate the greenhouse completely autonomously and perform unmanned automatic surveillance, are a solution that solves the problem of automation of data collection on farms by adding technologies such as deep learning and computer vision.

Through this, growth information of various greenhouse crops such as tomatoes, paprika, and strawberries can be monitored in real time, and users can control the robot with a control system that supports easy operation. Additionally, the collected data can be viewed at a glance at any time through the dashboard within the system.

The scale and practicality of the data handled and analyzed after collection are also excellent. The Hermai Scout robot analyzes a large amount of crop data with an AI model and automatically extracts and analyzes growth indicators, allowing users and managers to determine fruit size and number, maturity, leaf area and leaf area index (LAI), and hydration amount. Information such as predictions can be obtained.

An IOCROPS official said, “We chose this AFRO exhibition as the stage for the official launch of the Hermai brand and its first product, the Scout robot,” and added, “It has been in continuous operation in our greenhouse, contributing to accumulating specific usage experience and improving productivity. “As we have done this, we expect a positive response from the industry,” he said.

He continued, “Starting with the Scout robot, which is dedicated to growth surveys and greenhouse monitoring, we will expand our lineup of robots that achieve automation in all areas related to agricultural production, such as pest detection, harvesting, and transportation,” and added, “Customers who want Hermai’s solutions. “We will help them succeed in improving farm productivity by providing them with robotic products, how to best use them, and professional services,” he added.

Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
