    Fresh Hour participates in AFRO 2023… Introducing ‘BARFDOG’, a regular food delivery service tailored to companion animals

    Fresh Hour Co., Ltd. (CEO Lim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 28th to Friday, July 3th. )’.

    Fresh Hour operates ‘BARFDOG’, a 1:1 customized raw food regular delivery service for pets. Barfdog has developed a customized algorithm based on big data on pets and delivers raw food made by mixing two types of meat in a subscription form. Officials explain that this is based on customized dog food production technology that has been patented for the first time in Korea. In addition, Fresh Hour is equipped with a low-temperature production facility that produces products below -15 degrees Celsius for this purpose.

    The Barf Dog service to be introduced at this exhibition includes 4 products that can help improve absorption, digestion, nutritional supplementation, and strengthen skin and fur, including ‘Starter Premium’, ‘Turkey & Beef’, ‘Duck & Lamb’, and ‘Lamb & Beef’. We have raw eggplant recipes, and we also have three types of ‘Barfred’, ‘Barf White’, and ‘Tumeric Super Cube’ that can be fed as toppings.

    Barfdog service subscriptions are customized according to pet surveys and delivered to customers periodically according to the schedule. Health status is continuously checked and menu recommendations are made according to changes.

    A Fresh Hour official said, “We are developing a solution that can check the health of pets in a variety of ways, and we plan to continuously release customized solutions for pets by incorporating this.”

    Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
