FarmConnect (CEO Kim Moo-hyun) will hold the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from Wednesday, July 28th to Friday, July 3th. He announced that he would participate in ‘.
FarmConnect is an agtech startup founded in 2019 by a number of people with agricultural experience. It supplies various types of farm environment measurement sensors and helps build a smart agricultural platform.
It is known that FarmConnect’s smart agricultural control platform is currently being used in seven regional agricultural technology centers, starting with the Cheongyang-gun Agricultural Technology Center in 2019. In particular, Cheongyang-gun was selected as an excellent local government in regulatory innovation and an excellent example of agricultural technology innovation by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 7 and 2021 through the introduction of the system.
FarmConnect plans to participate in AFRO 2023 as a company selected by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency’s Agricultural and Food Venture Incubation Business Support Project and A-Ventures and unveil its new solution, ‘Connectbee’. This provides the function of managing and analyzing the activity of fertilized bees in the greenhouse based on object recognition technology.
Connectbee detects the pollen attached to bees and their legs and analyzes the amount to determine whether the bees are working normally. Officials emphasized that this technology overcame the limitations of the existing system, which was limited to identifying bees and was unable to monitor their activities and work.
In addition, FarmConnect’s existing services, Smart Farm Environment Solution and Connectbee, support flexible linkage and combination, providing analysis data to farm owners in a more intuitive and convenient form, maximizing the efficiency of farm data operation.
A FarmConnect official said, “Our platform and solutions will make agricultural field management and operation more convenient and contribute to increasing yields.” He added, “We will promote this to farmers and agricultural organizations across the country, discover customers, and work with them. “I want to grow,” he said, explaining his reason for participating in this exhibition.
He continued, “The newly developed fertilized bee management system this year has currently provided supply and operation examples to farms in four regions, and we expect to be able to further distribute it to farms using our smart agriculture platform.” We are preparing to supply platforms and sensors to local farmers by signing an MOU with the Azerbaijan Livestock Research Institute and the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute. In addition, we are actively seeking to enter the global market by pursuing collaboration with companies and institutions in China, Spain, Israel, and Canada,” he added.
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held.
