
Slunch Factory participated in the ‘7 Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 26’ held at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days from July 28 (Wed) to 3 (Fri). .
Slunch Factory is a vegan alternative food manufacturer, and has the know-how optimized for fresh and safe cold chain distribution by manufacturing vegan frozen convenience meals using self-developed vegan processed meat. Vegan processed meat and vegan cheese were made with vegan tech manufacturing techniques using by-products of tofu.
At this exhibition, vegan spinach gnocchi and vegan potato gnocchi were featured. Potato gnocchi contains 78% domestic Sumi potatoes. It features a frozen shelf life of 9 months, and aims to expand to the B1000B market through 2g bulk products.
An official from the Slunch Factory said, “Originally, gnocchi contains eggs and butter, but we are introducing it as a vegan meal using domestically produced surimi potatoes as a substitute. We are producing a bulk type to expand from B2C to B2B markets.”
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
