The Agriculture, Forestry and Food Technology Planning and Evaluation Institute is a planning, evaluation, and management institution for agricultural, forestry and food science and technology R&D projects, supporting commercialization of R&D excellence, and striving to foster sustainable agricultural industries and build an innovative ecosystem. By transferring the results of R&D projects to technology, it leads innovation in the agriculture, forestry and food business and promotes market success through commercialization of technologies that improve the quality of life of the people.
The innovative growth headquarters technology commercialization support program, which was mainly introduced at this exhibition, consists of solving technical commercialization field difficulties, technology transaction and technology transfer, technology financial support, and technology certification in the agricultural and food sector.
Specifically, for small and medium-sized venture companies in agro-food that are experiencing difficulties in commercialization of technology, problem-solving plans are presented through customized support through professional diagnosis of commercialization difficulties. In addition, it supports intellectual property transactions such as technologies, patents, and know-how developed through the national R&D project for agricultural, livestock and livestock products to promote technology trading of excellent promising technologies in the agri-food sector.
Meanwhile, at AFRO 2023, the largest Agtech & Foodtech event in Korea, domestic startups with global growth potential in Agtech, Foodtech, and Green Bio will exhibit products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries, Various programs such as conferences discussing the present and future of Agtech and Foodtech and investment briefings (IR competitions) are held. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and supervised by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, NH Nonghyup, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
