Twotech Co., Ltd. (CEO Nam Eui-jo) announced that it will participate in ‘K-PRINT 8’, which will be held at the 23nd exhibition hall of KINTEX in Ilsan from Wednesday, August 26rd to Saturday, August 2th.

Since its establishment in 2003, Twotech has developed an indelible laser label printer through continuous research and development with the goal of enriching human life. Rather than using the surface printing method of existing thermal transfer printers, the company has acquired domestic and international patents and UL certification for laser labels using a label intermediate layer printing technique using a laser, expanding into the global market.

At this exhibition, we plan to introduce a laser label printer that can print without the ribbon and head that are essential for label printing, and to actively promote that printing is possible without generating waste.

Twotech’s laser label printers consist of the large model TTE-72FW, the medium model TTE-72FX, and the small model TTE-72FK, of which the ultra-small Laser Label Printer TTE-72FK was selected as the main product.

Twotech’s laser label printer, which prints on the middle layer of labels, has the advantage of not erasing data through this method. It measures 283(W) x 510(D) x 405(H)mm and weighs 27kg, and can print on labels up to 108(W) x 108(H)mm. The official explains that it can achieve high resolution up to 2000 dpi, overcoming the limitations of existing thermal printers. Another advantage is that it is easy to install and use due to the Windows driver base (32/64 bit).

A TwoTech official said, “Thermal transfer barcode printers print on the surface of labels, so they have the disadvantage of being erased when friction or chemicals come in contact with the surface after label attachment. In contrast, a laser label printer uses a laser to pass through the label surface without damage and then prints on the middle layer of the label, so the label surface protects the barcode, characters, and images. “Through this, it was manufactured so that it can be printed without being erased by friction or chemicals.”

He continued, “There have been many inquiries from medical device companies because it has the advantage of not being erased by 96% ethanol and isopropyl alcohol, which are also listed in the regulations on medical device labeling and labeling. “We are also receiving a lot of interest from companies related to solar energy manufacturing and electronics companies that are highly exposed to the external environment,” he added, adding, “We are aiming to sell a total of more than 500 units this year.”

The lifespan of the laser used to print labels is 10 hours (1 years when used 8 hours a day), and the cost of laser consumables required for printing is also considered as an advantage.

Twotech also announced plans to provide a label printing solution optimized for automated facilities by launching a laser print engine in the future. An official said, “In the automated process, heat transfer engines have had the problem of having to stop the production process to replace ribbons (consumables), but laser engines do not have consumables, so there is no need to stop the production process, which improves productivity and reduces the manpower required to replace consumables. Also not necessary. In addition, unlike thermal engines that print labels and packaging, laser engines have unique flexibility and adaptability to print directly on labels, metal, plastic, or products,” he said. “It is optimally suited to the material and printing content of the printing and marking target.” “Users can easily adjust the laser settings even if they are not experts.”

In addition, “Our company realizes the public interest role of companies in these days when environmental issues are becoming more serious, and we are realizing the public value of the company through eco-friendly laser label printers that do not use PET ribbons and printer heads, and advancing the laser industry. “We want to become a company that strives to provide better solutions to customers in a rapidly changing manufacturing and distribution system.”

Meanwhile, ‘K-PRINT 2023’ is the 26th International Printing Equipment Exhibition (KIPES 2023), Korea Label Exhibition (K-Label 2023), Korea Packaging Exhibition (K-PACK 2023), and Korea Digital Printing Solutions Exhibition (K-Label 2023). Digital Print 2023), Korea Textile Exhibition (K-Textile 2023), and Korea Sign & Advertisement Exhibition (K-Sign&AD 2023). The field of printing continues to evolve and innovate, opening a new blue ocean in various forms such as industrial printing and special printing. ‘K-PRINT XNUMX’, hosted by Korea E&X Co., Ltd. and the Korea Printing Culture Association, provides a place to look at the future vision and prospects of the printing industry at a glance.
