Ace Machinery Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Cheol) announced that it will participate in ‘K-PRINT 2023’, which will be held at the 2nd exhibition hall of KINTEX in Ilsan from Wednesday, August 23rd to Saturday, August 26th.

Ace Machinery is a specialized manufacturer of automatic carton gluers and is active not only in Korea but also in overseas markets under the brand name SIGNATURE. Ace Machinery, which has developed products with the goal of exporting to advanced countries since its founding, made its first export to the United States in 1995 and has been exporting automatic adhesive machines not only to Korea but also to more than 35 countries. The company explained that as a result of its continued efforts to develop and export products, its technology and product capabilities are recognized in the international market, including transactions with global packaging group companies such as WestRock, MPS, and Graphic Packaging International, which currently have annual sales of tens of trillions of trillions.

In addition, Ace Machinery has a branch office near its headquarters in Siheung and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and a corporate technology research center certified as a technology research center is located at the headquarters. Based on 30 years of development, manufacturing, and customization experience, we provide adhesive solutions such as the representative luxury model Elite, the long-selling Premier, and the domestic best-selling Ace model, as well as customer productivity such as auto feeder (SIG-FEED) and auto packer (SIG-PACK). For improvement, related automation equipment is also being steadily developed, produced, and exported.

Through this exhibition, Ace Machinery plans to exhibit SIGNATURE MK short type along with SIGNATURE ACE and provide various solutions.

SIGANTURE ACE was introduced as a model with reasonable price and performance. Since basic and essential functions and optional devices are already installed, most adhesive work can be done with the ACE model. Regarding this, an official from Ace Machinery said, “There continues to be a lot of demand in the domestic market, and during the Corona period, our SIGNATURE ACE, installed all over the country, mass-produced mask boxes, vaccine packaging boxes, self-diagnosis kit packaging boxes, etc. Accordingly, we plan to once again present an economical and reasonable model to domestic and foreign customers through ‘K-PRINT 2023’.”

SIGNARUE MK, which is also exhibited, is an entry-level model developed to enable adhesive work from ultra-small boxes such as lipstick boxes to overnight manila boxes. In fact, not only is it possible to produce sizes of 700 and 900, but it is also possible to work on one side as well as three sides, so its versatility is great. The official explained that due to these characteristics, there is a steady demand for the MK model not only domestically but also overseas, such as in the United States.

In particular, Ace Machinery produced and released a new short type MK with a total length of about 11 meters to meet the need for a relatively short automatic adhesive machine to increase space efficiency.

After significantly upgrading the ACE model in 2020, Ace Machinery is known to have grown significantly in domestic sales. It is also achieving significant performance in overseas markets, and was awarded the 7 million dollar export tower from the Korea International Trade Association in 2022. We expect to receive the $10 million export tower award in 2023.

An official said, “Ace Machinery’s main markets are the United States and the United Kingdom, and it is also working to expand overseas markets in other regions. In fact, the first unit was exported through Israeli sales in 2018, and in February of this year, a contract for the second and third units worth about $1 million was successfully signed through a business trip to Israel. In May of this year, the company succeeded in receiving an order from the German factory of WestRock, a global package group company, through a business trip to Germany and France. We also plan to exhibit at DRUPA 2024 (Düsseldorf, Germany) and have completed the application for participation.”

He continued, “Our company is focusing on developing front and rear automation devices. Although we own and sell the auto-feeding device SIG-FEED in large quantities, we have developed a prototype of an inverted feeding device for a more efficient solution, and furthermore, in the future, we will implement automatic feeding using a collaborative robot arm (Cobot Arm). “We are planning to develop a system,” he said. “SIG-PACK, an automatic packer solution, is also gaining great popularity overseas, including in the U.S. market, but we plan to further enhance SIG-PACK through additional design and development. “We will focus on increasing work efficiency and improving the work environment of our customers by investing more in front and back automation,” he said.

Meanwhile, ‘K-PRINT 2023’ is the 26th International Printing Equipment Exhibition (KIPES 2023), Korea Label Exhibition (K-Label 2023), Korea Packaging Exhibition (K-PACK 2023), and Korea Digital Printing Solutions Exhibition (K-Label 2023).
