We introduced flammable storage boxes and corrosive storage boxes that can safely store dangerous reagents commonly used on workbenchs and in laboratories.
The Class II A12469 type biological safety cabinet, whose performance has been internationally verified through EN 2 certification, has the advantage of lower noise, stable airflow, and superior energy efficiency by applying an EC motor compared to products using an AC motor. The company explained that the air discharged to the outside is cleanly filtered through the upper ULPA, and the recirculating air is cleanly filtered through the lower ULPA.
It was also emphasized that samples corresponding to biosafety levels 1 to 3 can be tested safely for the user, the environment, and the sample. Using Bluetooth, you can operate the controller’s lamp, fan, and power outlet without taking your hands out, preventing cross-contamination. Since its launch in 2022, it has been supplied to leading domestic institutions such as Chong Kun Dang, Hanwha Solutions, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, and KAIST. Recently, Seoul National University Hospital also held a technology seminar for bulk purchasing.
The flammable storage box is EN 14470-1 certified storage box and has proven fire resistance of up to 90 minutes. Normally, flammable vapor inside is discharged through the exhaust, and in the event of a fire, flames and heat that can come in from the outside are completely blocked as the temperature rises. The flammable dangerous goods locker was launched in 2019. It is known that LG Chem, Green Cross, and the Ministry of Science and Technology have replaced existing cabinets with J.O.Tech’s 30-90 minute fire resistance products. Accordingly, a JIO Tech official said, “In accordance with the strengthened Chemical Substances Management Act, we are continuously replacing them to create a safer research and experiment environment in Korea.”
In addition, the HPLC waste liquid storage system is a product that safely and conveniently stores waste liquid generated from HPLC. HPLC generates various waste liquids depending on the mobile and stationary phase used. This is directly poured into the waste liquid container provided inside the storage box, and when the liquid fills up through the sensor, an alarm is sent to easily check the replacement time. In addition, the mobile phase solvent contains many flammable liquids, and it is a CE certified product that has passed the 60-minute fire resistance test, preventing secondary fires in the event of a sudden fire, allowing safe evacuation, and extinguishing the fire smoothly.
An official said, “Since the coronavirus pandemic, awareness of biosafety has increased in many research facilities. In particular, laboratories that handle infectious samples must use strictly certified products not only in the space itself but also in the workstations placed inside.”
