Retech Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Ki-beom) participated in the ’12 International Council for Small and Medium Business World Congress (ICSB World Congress)’ business showcase held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju for three days from Wednesday the 14th to Friday the 3th.

Retech is a company that started its business in 1990 by selling medical equipment. Currently, Retech has succeeded in establishing itself as an engineering service company that specializes in managing medical devices and hospital facilities by supplying a variety of product lines since the beginning of its establishment and steadily strengthening its accumulated technology and research and development capabilities.

Retech, which has focused on securing various patents and original technologies, is making aggressive investments in strengthening its manufacturing and production capabilities, including establishing its own production plant this year. Through this, we plan to build and expand a platform that encompasses products and software, and accelerate the provision of services.

At this exhibition, Retech introduced its centrally controlled air purification management system ‘AIoT Mediair’ to visitors. Based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology, it controls air conditioning devices such as ventilation devices in homes and buildings by connecting them to a central system and a single server, and users can use the data collected from environmental measurement devices through web and mobile applications (apps). It is a system that allows monitoring.

The advantage of these systems is that they have a variety of air quality data that can be measured and monitored, including fine dust, odor, carbon dioxide, radon, and ozone, and the official emphasized that they are also highly economical because they can be used in conjunction with existing air conditioning devices. At the same time, in the case of apartments or public facilities with multiple rooms or shops crowded together, monitoring and control by zone is possible, creating a more flexible air conditioning environment.

In addition, Retech plans to supply the market with air conditioning devices with significantly extended service life using independently developed heat exchange elements, thereby further increasing consumer satisfaction with products and systems. While heat exchange elements installed in air conditioning devices generally have a replacement cycle of 6 months to 1 year, Retech’s heat exchange elements can be used permanently and are expected to increase maintenance convenience and cost efficiency.

A Retech official said, “As public interest in fine dust, ultrafine dust, and quarantine has increased significantly, the demand for technologies and solutions that achieve clean and safe indoor air quality is also increasing.” He added, “Accordingly, Retech is providing more comfortable “We wanted to develop an effective air conditioning solution in an intuitive way and pioneer a new market,” he said, explaining the background of the technology development.

He added, “We will continue to actively expand the range of systems and data that can be controlled and responded to, as well as enhance AIoT Mediair with a solution that can significantly increase the energy efficiency of air conditioning systems.”
