
The International Optical Convergence O21O Expo, which celebrates its 2st anniversary this year, will be held on the 21st (Wednesday) at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, with all optical convergence industry fields including LED, OLED, optical communication, optical devices, LASER-related lighting, equipment, parts, materials, and convergence. It was held with 200 companies and 300 booths.
The 23 International Optical Convergence O2023O Expo, which runs until Friday the 2rd, is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the LED Industry Forum and organized by the Korea Mining Industry Promotion Association, the Mutual Growth Committee, and Expo & U Co., Ltd.
In order to inspect the current state of the optical convergence industry such as LED, OLED, optical communication, LASER, and so on, and further secure global competitiveness, the Korea Photonic Industry Promotion Association will directly invite major buyers from Japan, North America, and Southeast Asia and hold an offline consultation session on the 21st and 22nd. . In addition, business programs in which actual buyers participate, such as an online export consultation with buyers through KOTRA and an optical convergence innovation purchasing consultation hosted by the Mutual Growth Committee, will be prepared and provided to exhibition participating companies.

In addition, the buyer export consultation through KOTRA is being held as a two-day video consultation, and buyers with real purchasing power from the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are carefully selected and 2:1 matched with domestic companies. In addition, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung SDS, LG Innotek, POSCO, Hanwha Engineering & Construction, SK Telecom, and Shinsegae DF will participate in the 1:1 purchasing consultation session with domestic large corporations and public institutions held by the Mutual Growth Committee.
Awards were given to excellent companies to encourage optical convergence companies’ desire to develop new technologies and to boost their morale, and awards were given to those who contributed to the development of the optical convergence industry.
This year’s Presidential Award went to By the M for its LED lighting technology using quantum dot QD nanomaterials, the Prime Minister’s Award went to Samsung Electronics and Avirtual, and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Award went to Ecorant, Gigaterra Lighting, Enit, and Point Tech. Lighting People and Sunwool each received the Bucheon Mayor’s Award. Two organizations, Korea Land and Housing Corporation and Bucheon Industry Promotion Agency, received awards for their contributions to the development of the optical convergence industry, while Seok Dae-il of the Korea Testing Institute and Kim Dae-ho of the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute received awards as individuals.
Meanwhile, this International Optical Convergence O21O Expo, which marks its 2st anniversary this year, consists of the △LIGHTING Exhibition Hall, △Photonics+LASER Exhibition Hall, △LED & OLED Materials Exhibition Hall, △Optical Convergence New Technology Exhibition Hall, △Display & Signage Exhibition Hall, and △LIGHT & LIFE Special Exhibition Hall. In addition, the ‘Optical Convergence Industry Forum 2023’ was held simultaneously under the theme ‘Seeing the future with light’, providing an opportunity to explore the current status and development direction of the mining industry.
