The ‘2023 International Optical Convergence O2O Expo (LED&OLED EXPO)’ opened at KINTEX in Goyang on Wednesday, June 6, announcing a spectacular start.
The 23 International Optical Convergence O3O Expo, which will be held for three days until Friday the 2023rd, is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the LED Industry Forum and organized by the Korea Photonics Industry Promotion Association, the Mutual Growth Committee and Expo&U Co., Ltd., and will feature LED, OLED, and optical communications. It was held with a total of 2 companies and 200 booths in the optical convergence industry, including optical devices, LASER-related lighting, equipment, parts, materials, and convergence.
In order to inspect the current status of the optical convergence industry, including LED, OLED, optical communication, LASER, and material managers, and further secure global competitiveness, the Korea Photonic Industry Promotion Association will directly invite major buyers from Japan, North America, and Southeast Asia and hold an offline consultation session on the 21st and 22nd. . In addition, business programs in which actual buyers participate, such as an online export consultation with buyers through KOTRA and an optical convergence innovation purchasing consultation hosted by the Mutual Growth Committee, will be prepared and provided to exhibition participating companies.
Jeong Cheol-dong, Chairman of the Korea Mining Industry Promotion Association, who attended the opening ceremony on the 21st (Wednesday), said, “The 3 International Optical Convergence O2023O Expo, which will be held for three days starting today, marks its 2st anniversary this year thanks to the active participation of many stakeholders. “This exhibition is even more meaningful as it is being held jointly by the Korea Mining Industry Promotion Association and the LED Industry Forum, which are dedicated technology organizations for the development of the domestic optical convergence industry,” he said.
Chairman Chung continued, “The importance of the optical convergence industry is increasing as we enter the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. He emphasized, “Optical convergence technology is converging with other industries such as mobility, AI, smart home appliances, and healthcare, and is permeating many aspects of our daily lives, contributing greatly to economic growth.”
However, it was also pointed out that the current global economy is still unstable and has a lot of volatility. Among them, COVID-19 recently turned into an endemic, but during the pandemic, it brought about challenging changes in the industrial environment around the world.
Regarding this, Chairman Jeong Cheol-dong said, “Despite these difficulties, the optical convergence industry is overcoming them through continuous innovation.”
In addition, the Korea Photonic Industry Promotion Association will invite about 2 buyers from 20 countries during this International Optical Convergence O100O Expo and operate the 2023 International Optical Convergence Business Fair export consultation and online export consultation hall.
Chairman Chung said, “We expect that this exhibition will be an important stepping stone for our optical convergence companies to enter overseas markets and find new business opportunities with your interest and support. “We also hope that this exhibition will increase the growth potential of domestic and foreign LED and optical convergence industry companies and become a venue to share new visions and ideas for the future of the optical convergence industry.”
