Marine Works (CEO Kim Yong-dae) announced that it will participate in the ‘6th International Maritime Defense Industry Exhibition (MADEX 7)’ held at Busan BEXCO Exhibition Center 9 from June 1th (Wed) to 13th (Fri).
Established in 2014, Marine Works develops systems and software for ship operation safety, such as integrated bridge system, network, smart ship solution, SMS (Ship Management System), ship steering and engine simulator, and ship cyber security solution field. It is a shipbuilding and marine ICT specialized company that continues to challenge and develop.
Marine Works developed ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) with domestic technology in the ship navigation communication equipment market, which was occupied by more than 95% of European and Japanese companies. , Polaris Shipping, etc.) and has a market share of more than 800% in the domestic market. It has also obtained cybersecurity certifications from major classification societies. Based on these basic technologies, HMM built a comprehensive ship control room with smart ship solutions, fleet management services, and cyber security.
Since we have a track record of supplying Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) and integrated networks to major vessels of the Republic of Korea Navy, such as Aegis destroyers and Ulsan-class frigates, we will publicize this through this exhibition and will supply not only warships to be built in the future, but also overseas navies. will create opportunities.
In addition, a domestic radar developed for application to the Korean Navy based on proven technology in the private sector will be exhibited, a 43-inch navigation console specialized for small surface ships and underwater ships, and an up-down electronic navigation system that improves the lower space utilization of the existing electronic chart. A new chart will be introduced.
In particular, Chart Master is an electronic chart that allows free drawing with a large 55-inch touch-type display. It is possible to display major naval operational coordinate systems and special maps (Real time 3d Model, Auto DXF Topographical Chart, Satellite Image, CADRG chart). The lower frame can be custom-made to reflect the user’s requirements, and it also serves as an electronic chart, including the functions of the existing nautical chart. Depending on the needs of the required forces, it can be manufactured in various forms such as small surface ships, underwater ships, and up-down methods.
In addition, MFD (Multi-Function Display) of Marineworks integrates multi-function navigation that can display and operate the W-ECDIS, navigation radar, and CONNING DISPLAY functions on a single screen. it is an exhibition W-ECDIS is an electronic chart display system for ships that includes all functions of commercial ECDIS and combines functions for conducting naval operations. It is possible to display and manage ships, and it is possible to use various special maps and various operational coordinate systems.
Based on the accumulated technology, Marine Works has supplied more than 800 ECDIS to the Republic of Korea Navy, Korea Coast Guard and major shipping companies. In particular, in 2022, WECDIS (Warship-ECDIS) was supplied to Malaysian Navy vessels to contribute to the improvement of Malaysian Navy operational operations, and it also supplied an integrated bridge system and network system to the Philippine Navy’s OPV, FFG, Corvette and New Zealand logistics support ships. In addition, we have built CCTV, VTC, LAN, cyber security, and smart ship systems for various customers.
