Sungshin Defense Solution participated in the ‘6th International Maritime and Defense Industry Exhibition (MADEX 7)’ held at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 9 in Busan from Wednesday, June 1th to Friday, June 13th.
Sungshin Defense Solutions Co., Ltd. is an engineering company that provides total solutions for defense equipment, from design to production and technical support (test evaluation and problem solving) of equipment applied to naval ships and Surion helicopters.
Through accumulated technology and continuous investment in research and development, we are devoting ourselves to the local production of various equipment applied to ships and aircraft and the development of new products. In 2022, we were selected as one of the first ‘100 Defense Innovation Companies’ hosted by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, contributing to strengthening Korea’s national defense power. The KRONOS Submarine introduced at this exhibition is used for research missions, seabed exploration, visual inspection of underwater locations and objects, monitoring the condition of underwater pipes and cables, underwater rescue operations, and military purposes.
KRONOS’s features include 1.5 hours of aerial refueling with a 1.5-hour battery charge, an electric engine, and foldable wings for transportation. It can carry a maximum load of 3,000kg on the water, accommodates 11 seats, and boasts a maximum underwater speed of 50km.
Meanwhile, MADEX 2023 is a ‘defense exhibition and government subsidy-supported exhibition (Korea Defense Industry Promotion Association)’ for publicity and export promotion of defense and export companies.
