AI startup Nubi Lab held a performance report meeting on the 19th (Thursday) to share the results of participation in CES 2023, the world’s largest home appliance and IT exhibition. CES 2023 was held in Las Vegas, USA for a total of 4 days from January 5th (Thursday) to 8th (Sunday, local time).
At this CES, Nubi Lab opened an exclusive booth measuring approximately 132㎡ (40 pyeong), the largest among domestic startups, and introduced its AI, product demonstration, and unveiled new services. Officials explained that there was so much interest that thousands of brochures prepared were sold out in one day.
During the CES 2023 exhibition period, Nubi Lab will focus on its core solution, ‘AI Food Scanner’, and present the scanner as well as digital healthcare concept solutions such as △infant growth management solution, △eating habits management solution for chronic disease patients, △mobile food diary, and △food scan API. It was calculated that about 20,000 investors and visitors visited the Nubi Lab booth, exhibiting various solutions that can be used to reduce food waste in restaurant kitchens and halls. In particular, Nubi Lab is known to have received a lot of interest and collaboration requests from investors as well as key industries such as global catering companies, airlines, hotels, and hospitals during this event.
The response from the government and political circles was also enthusiastic. Minister Lee Young of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Vice Minister of Science and Technology Oh Tae-seok, Daegu Metropolitan City Mayor Hong Jun-pyo, and Gwangju Metropolitan City Mayor Kang Ki-jeong also visited the Nubi Lab booth.
The National Assembly Industrial and Central Committee delegation (Chairman Yoon Kwan-seok, Representative Song Ki-heon) and the National Assembly Oversight and Defense Committee delegation (Leader Park Seong-jung, Representative Heo Eun-ah, Representative Kang Hoon-sik, Representative Kim Byeong-wook) directly participated in the product demonstration, and it was applied to daycare centers and kindergartens to improve children’s eating habits and nutrition. There was a lot of interest in the infant and toddler model that analyzes ingredients. In addition, SKT President Yoo Young-sang and Korean Hospital Association President Yoon Dong-seop also listened to explanations for more than 10 minutes at the booth.

Nubi Lab has received attention at home and abroad by developing a solution that innovates the group feeding environment with technology that can determine the type and amount of food with just one scanning. It has been reported that more than 70 companies and organizations have adopted the solution so far, reducing a cumulative total of more than 15 million kg of food waste. In October last year, it received Series A investment from Smilegate Investment and others, and holds a cumulative investment of over 10 billion won.
