Darisoft Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Man-sik Jeong and Yun-seon Noh), a company specializing in AI-based road risk information services, announced that it participated in CES 2023, which was held in Las Vegas, USA for four days from January 5th to 8th (local time).
Darisoft, which participated in CES for the first time this year, caught the attention of visitors with its core service, ‘RiaaS (Roadhazard information as a Service)’. RiaaS is an AI road analysis device installed in a vehicle that detects 12 road hazards such as road pits (potholes), road cracks, and falling objects while driving, and is a service that shares risk information with drivers and road managers in real time.
The fields of use of RiaaS and road risk information data are diverse, including road maintenance and management, smart cities, vehicle services, maps and navigation, and insurance. Currently, RiaaS is being used by smart city and road management departments of domestic local governments such as Gimcheon City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, road-related public institutions, and airports.
Darisoft is also conducting pilot projects in Thailand and Japan, and is discussing collaboration with government agencies in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
RiaaS received the Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning Award in recognition of its technological prowess and innovation in the first half of 2022, and in 2023, the RiaaS Pro model, which has improved performance and additional functions to detect hazards on the road and nearby facilities near the road, will be launched on the market. It will be presented. We plan to expand the service nationwide in 2024, and aim to expand into 10 overseas countries and achieve sales of 100 billion won in 2025.

During this exhibition period, more than 200 smart city, vehicle, communication, and AI companies from the United States, South America, Japan, India, Israel, and Europe visited the booth. Darisoft received a joint project proposal from a highway business official in India, which is known to have a serious pothole problem globally, and discovered a number of overseas business opportunities, such as smart city projects in South America and sales of road risk information data. In particular, the RiaaS service and its value received a very positive evaluation from the Nevada Department of Transportation in the United States.
Darisoft co-CEOs Jeong Man-sik and Noh Yun-seon said, “Even before participating in CES 2023, we were able to sense that there was a very high level of interest in RiaaS, as we received meeting requests from the US, India, and Europe.” “As we received over 20 cooperation proposals from city specialized companies, we were able to directly confirm that RiaaS is the world’s only road risk information solution and that the RiaaS data business also has potential,” he said.
In addition, he expressed his thoughts on participating, saying, “By participating in this CES, we gained confidence in establishing a U.S. corporation and expanding overseas, and we will solidify our position as a global leader in the road risk information field through strategic partnerships and active and efficient overseas business.”
Established in January 2020, Darisoft became the first in the world to commercialize a professional road risk information service based on AI technology through research and development in cutting-edge technologies such as AIoT, mobility, and big data. Now in its fourth year, 70% of its 30 employees are dedicated to research, and it is growing into a global leading company in related fields, holding a total of 12 core patents. By the end of 2022, the company plans to attract Series A investment of 5.5 billion won and accelerate its global expansion in recognition of its potential.
