Raon’s flagship intercom system ‘Genie’ is the industry’s first wired and wireless integrated fully digital IP intercom system, and an official explains that it can replace high-cost intercom solutions based on traditional analog matrix systems. It is a system that provides scalability and efficiency by connecting an IP key panel station, an IP belt pack, a 5GHz band wireless intercom with abundant wireless frequency channel options, and a one-way IFB wireless receiver all in one system. Genie can connect 128 IP key panels or IP wired belt packs and 128 wireless belt packs or IFB receivers to one base station, of which 70 wireless devices can be connected simultaneously in each space. It provides excellent expandability through standard LAN/Daisy Chain PoE (Power of Ethernet) connection, and by using remote antennas and repeaters that can connect up to 66 additional units, it can be connected to the entire studio building, all traffic lines in performance halls, stadiums, arenas, industrial sites, etc. All necessary spaces can be connected and integrated using IP method.
Genie WAN Link, which provides 6 channels, supports remote connection through the public Internet network with an efficient and compact system design, providing an important intercom communication solution for remote production.
Genie’s main equipment includes wired and wireless integrated base station, IP key panel speaker station (4Key, 8Key, 16Key, 32Key), remote antenna, repeater, IP belt pack, line router, WAN link, 5GHz wireless belt pack, 5GHz wireless IFB receiver, etc. It consists of complex call routing that encompasses wired and wireless, such as conference group calls, 1:1 key panel calls, multiple group key calls (20 units), external equipment connection calls, and IFB/DIM, depending on workflow or equipment configuration. do. The system can also be configured separately with only a wired IP intercom or a 5GHz band wireless intercom.
The IFB receiver that can be used by connecting to Genie can also be used by connecting to the entry-level wireless intercom LT150 mobile system. You can set up and operate the device through the groundbreaking 5-position negative key (position navigation key) and OLED display, and you can also pair it with multiple main devices and select the main device you want. The set includes TRRS earphones with a 3.5mm jack, and customer-owned earphones with the same specifications can also be used.
Raon’s dedicated wireless belt pack batteries and chargers can be used as is, and AA alkaline batteries can also be used. Raon said, “It is a big advantage for existing Raon intercom customers or customers considering Genie as it does not require separate IFB system main equipment.”
Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and celebrated its 31st anniversary this year.
