RTICOM Co., Ltd. (CEO Jong-il Lee) participated in ‘KOBA 5 (16st International Broadcasting, Media, Sound and Lighting Exhibition)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Tuesday, May 19th to Friday, May 2023th. .
RTICOM is a company that has specialized in developing and supplying media transmission solutions since its establishment in 2001. We are introducing products with a variety of interfaces, including matrix switchers for switching and distribution of audio and video signals, optical links and CAT5/e solutions for long-distance video signal transmission, and splitters for video signal distribution and amplification.
At this exhibition, RTICOM introduced new matrix solution products such as ▲matrix switcher ‘SPX’ series and ▲modular matrix router ‘XDM’ series. The company explains that these products are all developed and produced in-house through RTICOM’s proprietary technology, and reflect the growing trend in demand for high-quality and high-definition content in the industry.
The SPX series is a product optimized for environments that require connecting and controlling a larger number of displays than other matrix switchers, with 1 to 8 ports per input/output slot card. In particular, the main frame size model boasts differentiated scalability as it can be configured with 12 to 8 input devices and at least 32 to 10 output devices.
It provides a variety of functions such as independent scaling, seamless switching, video wall, multi-view, audio extraction, and CEC display control functions, and a total of 5 types of segmented main frames for sports bars, restaurants, small conference rooms, and integrated control rooms. In fact, it can be flexibly applied to any environment requiring multiple display inputs and outputs.
The XDM series is a modular matrix switcher that fully supports 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 resolution and is compatible with interfaces currently used in the AV market, such as HDMI, CATx, Fiber, and 12G-SDI. DisplayPort (DP) input and output have been newly added to expand the operating environment, and it has next-generation performance that operates seamless switching, video wall, and quad view at 4K 60Hz specifications. Furthermore, it supports Dante Audio, allowing input/output, merging, and switching of audio from sources passing through the matrix in the Dante network.
In addition, Rticom also introduced a new matrix switcher, ‘QMS-44UX’, which supports easy use.
An RTICOM official said, “It has been 7 years since we participated in the KOBA exhibition. “As we have been back for a long time, we are introducing a large number of new products, and we are happy to be able to demonstrate the efforts we have made to innovate video and sound transmission solutions,” he said. “Furthermore, it has been difficult to meet industry officials in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic over the past few years.” “We want to regain that opportunity again in an expanded exhibition with Endemic,” he said, explaining the reason for participating in this exhibition.
Meanwhile, the KOBA exhibition, co-hosted by Korea E&X and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association, was held for the first time in 1991 to improve domestic broadcasting culture and develop the media, sound, and lighting industries, and celebrated its 31st anniversary this year. KOBA 2023, held at COEX Halls A, C, and D, presented next-generation broadcasting services and the future of the media, sound, and lighting industries. In particular, during the exhibition period, it provides an opportunity to acquire professional information related to broadcasting and sound through the International Broadcasting Technology Conference hosted by the Korea Broadcasting Engineers Association and the sound-related professional technology seminar hosted by the Korea Sound Artists Association and the Acoustical Society of Korea.
