Ajinomoto Genexine, a cell culture medium research and manufacturing company, will participate in ‘BIO KOREA 5’ held at COEX, Seoul for three days from May 10th (Wed) to 12th (Fri) and exhibit its own cell culture It announced that it would introduce the badge brand CELLiST.

Bio Korea 2023 is an event co-hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Chungcheongbuk-do, with a total of 11 themes, including △Technological Innovation and R&D Acceleration △Digital Innovation △Technology Business, under the theme of ‘Hyper-Connection Era, Leap to New Growth Innovation Technology’ 21 A two-session conference was organized.

About 13 master’s and doctoral speakers specializing in bio-health and related companies from 120 countries, including Ajinomoto Genexine, will participate in this event to share the latest issues and technology business trends covering the entire industry.

Ajinomoto Genexine plans to introduce ‘CELLiST’ cell culture medium. Cellist is a cell culture medium brand developed based on the medium manufacturing technology and know-how of Ajinomoto, which has been conducting chemical composition cell culture medium research for over 30 years. It contains high-quality amino acids based on Ajinomoto’s amino acid research capabilities and expertise, so it has the characteristics of satisfying cell growth rate and protein production ability at the same time.

Depending on the customer’s request, a wide range of customized production and response is possible, from small scale to commercial scale, as well as amino acid mixtures to customer-tailored biopharmaceutical production cell culture media. It has secured competitiveness in terms of antibody quality improvement and cost reduction.

In particular, at Bio Korea this year, Cellist will introduce new products newly introduced this year, ‘AminoSupplement Cys1, Cys2’ and ‘BASAL CHO MX’.

Cys1 is a cell culture medium suitable for a single agent medium and Cys2 is a dual agent medium. Both products suppress the formation and precipitation of cystine and enhance the aggregation of Cys components in the medium to maximize protein production.

‘BASAL CHO MX’, a biopharmaceutical culture medium, is a product developed based on the CHO-M cell line. It can be expected to improve pharmaceutical productivity by maintaining high bioactivity in various CHO cytoplasms, including CHO-M cell lines.

In addition, Ajinomoto Genexine will hold a session on the theme of ‘Cell Culture Media Development: Advances in Cell Culture Media Development’ from 5:12 am to 9:30 am on May 11 (Fri). Through this session, the latest technologies used in cell culture medium and process development and new products to improve cell productivity will be introduced. Visits can be requested in advance for free.

Meanwhile, ‘BIO KOREA 18’, which celebrated its 2023th this year, is hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Chungcheongbuk-do. Since 2006, BIO KOREA, which has been striving to promote the global status and continuous growth of the Korean health industry, has been strengthening its position as Korea’s representative bio-health international convention with world-renowned scholars and business experts participating every year.
