Greenish Co., Ltd. (CEO Sung Seong Seong) announced that it will participate in ‘BIO KOREA 5’ held at COEX, Seoul for three days from May 10 (Wed) to 12 (Fri).
Greenish possesses core technologies that can increase the functionality of sperm (survival rate, motility, fertility), and is developing medical devices and medicines that can be used for infertility treatment using the technology. In addition, research on sperm culture media that can increase the probability of artificial insemination of livestock animals such as cows and pigs based on sperm activation technology is also being conducted.
‘Ferti-Max’, the flagship product, is a lubricant-type medical device that changes the vaginal environment into an environment suitable for sperm and increases the function of sperm, thereby increasing the probability of pregnancy, Greenish explained. In particular, it was emphasized that it has excellent technological competitiveness by focusing on the function of sperm from the development stage.
An official from Greenish said, “Infertility is a very personal and social issue. However, it is still an area where research is insufficient compared to the seriousness. Conventional infertility treatment was generally solved through surgery, but due to the nature of the procedure, it is only performed on women, and many women struggle during this process. Therefore, we started development to solve the difficult infertility problem more easily, especially from the perspective of sperm.”
“Ferti-Max, a lubricant for infertility treatment that we are developing, is a new method, so there was a limit to persuading many people.” We want to explore partners and joint research institutes,” said the background of participating in the exhibition.
Currently, Ferti-Max is a product under research and development, and has been recognized for its technicality and business value, and is carrying out a number of government start-up support programs and R&D tasks.
