Aprogen introduced its biosimilar pipeline by participating in ‘BIO KOREA 5’ held at COEX, Seoul for three days from May 10 (Wed) to 12 (Fri).
Aprogen, a biotechnology company, has accumulated original and innovative protein drug development technology based on long-term basic scientific research results. The antibody biosimilar, which was approved for the first time in Korea in 2006, also includes the contents of technology transfer developed and transferred by Aprogen. Afterwards, protein and antibody drug design technology, high-efficiency cell line production technology for antibody drug production, and antibody using bioreactor It has continuously developed technology for mass production of drugs and technology for analysis of efficacy and pharmacological properties.
The biosimilar pipeline introduced at this exhibition is known to have a biopharmaceutical production capacity comparable to that of competitors’ production facilities with a capacity of 30 liters. We are conducting clinical development for products and global new drugs by securing personnel with rich domestic and international experience in relation to clinical development of biological products and product approval.
Aprogen Biologics can obtain a huge amount of biosimilars with just one run of a 2,000-liter incubator. Productivity innovation has further strengthened Aprogen’s overwhelming price competitiveness of biosimilars.
Meanwhile, ‘BIO KOREA 18’, which celebrated its 2023th anniversary this year, was hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Chungcheongbuk-do. BIO KOREA, which has been striving to improve the global status and sustainable growth of the Korean health industry since 2006, is solidifying its position as Korea’s representative biohealth international convention with the participation of world-class scholars and business experts every year. BIO KOREA 2023, in collaboration with companies related to the health industry such as domestic and foreign bio, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, and food, as well as interested companies and institutions such as consulting, academia, and related organizations, will be held through various programs such as conferences, business partnering, exhibitions, and investment fairs.
