Bosung Science Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Ho-si) will participate in ‘BIO KOREA 2023 (Bio Korea 2023)’ held at COEX in Seoul for 3 days from Wednesday, May 10th to Friday, May 12th and demonstrate gene amplification devices and bases. In vitro diagnostic medical devices boasting excellent stability and results, including sequence checkers, were exhibited.

Since its establishment in 1993, Bosung Scientific Co., Ltd. has provided equipment, reagents, consumables and services for experts in various fields, including life sciences, research, diagnosis, health, microbiology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and the environment. Haeon is a specialized distribution company for scientific equipment.

Representative products handled include Applied Biosystems’ real-time instruments, CE genetic analyzers, Ion Torrent NGS instruments, Gibco cell culture media and additives, various reagents and consumables for molecular biology tests, Oxoid microbial culture media, LGC’s DNA synthesizer and synthesis reagents, These include Sotax elutriators and hardness meters, AccuStandard’s standard materials, ERA’s environmental proficiency testing services and TOC consumables.

At this exhibition, the gene amplification device ‘QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System’ and the base sequence tester ‘Ion S5™ System’ were exhibited, attracting attention.

The in vitro diagnostic medical device ‘QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System’ (In Vitro Quantum No. 15-1382, model name: A28134 / A28133) is a product of Applied Biosystems and is a real-time PCR equipment that can check gene amplification and accumulation in real time. am. The main body is composed of a heat block and a light source device. The heat block amplifies genes by repeatedly cycling the sample according to a specific temperature range, and the light source device emits light to detect fluorescent substances combined with genes.

Ion Torrent™’s ‘Ion S5™ System’, which was also exhibited, uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) to detect mutations at various specific locations in genes (DNA or RNA). To put it simply, it is a ‘base sequence tester’. It is used to analyze gene sequences at various specific locations in the human genome.

An official from Bosung Science said, “The Ion S5 sequencer equipment uses a DNA template that has undergone sample preparation and measures the hydrogen ions generated during each nucleotide bond in the DNA base sequence test reaction using a semi-conducting chip to determine the base sequence. “We analyze it,” he explained.

In addition, an official said, “Our company is in charge of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s agency in the metropolitan area and Chungcheong Province. “We hope to contribute to the development of the domestic life science and bio industry through constant challenges in the future,” he expressed his ambition.

Next, “To become a company that works together with customers, we held the ‘Become a Friend on KakaoTalk Channel’ event. Coffee gifticons were provided through an on-site drawing, drawing positive response from many buyers and visitors. “Thank you to everyone who participated,” he said, expressing his thoughts about participating in the exhibition.
