Storageian Co., Ltd. (CEO Dong-gu Yoon) announced that it will participate in the ‘4 World IT Show (WIS 19)’ to be held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 21 to Friday, April 2023.
Storageian is a company established in 2016 that has developed and commercialized a hardware-based disk hacking prevention system that can be used in conjunction with smartphones. The company explains that it aims for ‘differentiated necessities’ such as storage-related systems that are compatible with existing hardware systems.
At this exhibition, Storageian will present disk hacking prevention products such as △secure disk card △secure USB 2.0 dongle. These products have in common that they are hardware-based products and are security solutions that can be used inside and outside a desktop PC.
The main function of the secure disk card is to block the interface signal of the built-in disk in the electrical circuit after the PC boots. This invalidates the built-in disk connection in the operating system (OS) and blocks the inflow of ransomware, which can occur at times when the user is not aware of it. You can control whether the disk is turned on or off through a linked smartphone application (app).
A secure USB dongle is a device that relays the connection between a PC and a USB memory. This also provides the ability to decide whether or not to connect via USB by selecting the On/Off operation using a smartphone app. When switched to the Off state, the infiltration of external malware can be effectively prevented, as if the external storage device was physically separated and removed even when it is connected.
