MIT Co., Ltd. (CEO Byeong-su Min) participated in the ‘4 World IT Show (WIS 19)’ held at COEX, Seoul from Wednesday, April 21th to Friday, April 2023st and introduced MIT-XR.
Established in January 2018, MIT is a specialized company that provides intelligent solutions for smart manufacturing innovation in the shipbuilding, petroleum, chemicals, plants, and construction machinery fields. We are achieving technological innovation by developing core software that will help small and medium-sized businesses grow with our own technology, such as developing extended reality (XR)-based solutions and building smart factories based on artificial intelligence, and applying them to various industrial sites from large corporations to small and medium-sized businesses.
Based on customized software construction technology in related fields, we are preparing to enter overseas markets such as Vietnam, Hungary, Denmark, the UK, and Singapore, and are achieving growth by leading the smart factory and XR-based solution markets in the Yeongnam region such as Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Busan. The official explains that there is.
The main product exhibited at this exhibition is MIT-XR. The advantage of this product was that it can monitor facility conditions from a distance without approaching dangerous facilities, ensuring the safety of workers in the field and minimizing the risk burden during repetitive daily inspection work. In addition, its strength is that it allows communication by showing field information to remote experts in real time, allowing decisions on difficult and complex processes to be made in real time through remote multi-party meetings without the need for business trips. This product can help field workers intuitively understand the work process by digitizing the know-how of experts into AR content so that even unskilled workers can easily understand it.

MIT said, “In 2020, due to business difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic, we established an XR business headquarters after much consideration and began XR research and development in earnest in 2021. Annual sales in 2020 were KRW 13 billion, and as a result of launching the XR platform and conducting active marketing, annual sales in 8, the first year of launch, were KRW 2021 billion, achieving a sales growth rate of 26%. “In 1, with the establishment of the Seoul branch, the number of employees also increased to 90,” he explained.
He continued, “By converging satellite navigation system (GPS), geographic information system (GIS), facility management system, IoT, and 5G technologies into one, it is possible to manage factory and city facilities to save time and cost, and to prevent safety accidents that may occur. “MIT-GIS, an XR spatial information platform for rapid response, is currently being developed and is scheduled to be released in 2024.”
Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry.
