Clicar Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Na-yul) participated in the ‘2023 World IT Show (WIS 2023)’ held at COEX in Seoul from Wednesday, April 19 to Friday, April 21.
Auto TinyML startup Klicar was founded in 2021 and developed source technology that automatically compresses computer vision AI models by up to 95% and automatically converts them to a model format compatible with hardware.
A CLika official said, “In the era of autonomous driving where artificial intelligence capabilities are emphasized, dozens to hundreds of artificial intelligence models mounted on the SoC chip in the vehicle must be implemented accurately and at high speed in real time for accurate operation and safety.” For this purpose, lightweighting the model is essential. “The lightweight technology based on the quantization recognition algorithm that implements high accuracy is a highly advanced development technology, so it is highly dependent on the AI platform provided by mass-produced car manufacturers, Mobileye and NVIDIA, which have secured the original technology,” he pointed out.
Accordingly, Clica provides an all-in-one artificial intelligence deployment and operation platform that automatically makes the developed artificial intelligence model ultra-lightweight and simultaneously helps to quickly and economically commercialize it on major commercially available target hardware.
We participated in this exhibition to introduce the company and products to the public ahead of the launch of beta services. As the number of companies seeking to provide or commercialize ultra-large artificial intelligence-based solutions is increasing thanks to the recent ChatGPT craze, we emphasize in advance the problems that companies will face in the process of distributing and implementing these artificial intelligence models in the future, and make Klica lightweight. I decided to participate to let people know how the and distribution solutions are solving these problems.
Specifically, the Clica solution includes ▲automatic lightweighting (reduces artificial intelligence by up to 95%, maintains maximum accuracy, improves speed by at least x6~30 times), ▲automatic compilation (automatically converts to a format compatible with target hardware), and ▲monitoring/device. It consists of three core management functions:

An official said, “We have developed the world’s best machine learning model lightweight and optimization engine that satisfies the development speed, performance overtake, and speed of global promising technology startups and large corporations. “Our company has already developed and possesses 95% compression technology, which far exceeds the 60% compression rate of lightweight (model compression) technology, which is the final 3rd year target technology of the Small and Medium Business Strategic Technology Roadmap 2022-2024 announced by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.” did.
He continued, “As the introduction of artificial intelligence spreads, the demand for AI platforms for edge devices and embedded devices is rapidly expanding not only to mobility but also to the entire range, while high-performance solutions that can be used in the industry are still absent.” Recognizing this, CLICA aimed to develop an industrial artificial intelligence platform that is easy, fast, and economical,” he added.
Future plans were also revealed. An official said, “We have completed the first beta test and recruited 5 paid service customers targeting vision sectors such as autonomous driving, smart city, and defense industry. “Through this, we will supplement and improve the solution and launch formal sales,” he said. “We will keep the development-test-launch cycle short and continuously conduct market testing and service launch.”
Meanwhile, the ‘World IT Show’, a one-stop platform for digital transformation, is a representative exhibition leading the next-generation high-tech industry. The 2023 World IT Show, with the slogan ‘Changing our life, K-Digital’, will feature ▲AI platform, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, and ICT convergence services ▲Smart home, office, and home appliances. and smart healthcare ▲Intelligent mobility and robots such as autonomous driving, UAM, drones, etc. ▲Digital Twin & Metaverse (XR technology) ▲Cloud and software ▲Security software & Blockchain (NFT) ▲The latest technologies and products in the field of quantum information science Exhibited and introduced. In addition, the ‘WIS 2023 Innovation Award’ and the ‘2023 Korea ImpaCT-ech Grand Prize’ were awarded to the technologies and products that attracted the most attention among participating companies.
